This Rawlings pitching rubber is designed to be fully buried in the ground, then well-tamped down around the rubber to fully set it in place. To maximize the lifespan, you'll need to rotate the rubber 90 degrees periodically, as there are four pitching surfaces on the item. For best results, dig out an area twice the size of the pitching rubber to allow for perfect placement.
