I watched several tutorials on YouTube and it took some practice to get the technique down, but the more bows I made, the easier it got. I absolutely loved how beautiful my bows turned out and I love all the different options as far as bow size and ribbon. One downfall that’s a bit aggravating is that the “fingers” come out really easy. They should fit a little more snug. Overall I am very pleased with the Pro Bow and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my bows! I do recommend stocking up on ribbon when you can find it on sale. It takes a little practice, but it's great ! I use floral wire, 20-22 gauge to tie my bows. I do this because when you use heavy or wide ribbon and make very large bows, the ribbon has the power break the connections. But with wire this doesn't happen. Also the wire leaves you something sturdy to attach the bow with. Good Luck! Enjoy! **Q: What is the largest setting? How wide of a bow can this make?** A: I made a bow on the widest setting and it is about 16 inches from one side to the other. **Q: What size ribbon would I use for this?** A: I use the 1 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inch ribbon the most. **Q: How i buy the wire used in the instructions** A: It's called floral wire or paddle wire (I guess because of the plastic piece on which the wire is wound.) If you plan on making very small to super large bows, you may want to invest in a few gauges of wire. When comparing gauges, remember the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. I think the most common gauge for bows is 22 or 24 gauge.
