Amazing experience so far
I bought this projector intending to just use it for a DIY cinema experience but shortly before it was delivered I broke both my TV and my computer monitor. Once this arrived, it was a godsend. For the past five days I've had the best theater experience of my life. Pros Affordable Great picture quality - 720p is perfect for me Brightness was amazing/colors especially vivid 60 hz - great match for my xbox one Netflix has never been so entertaining Many reviews expressing hardware longevity, mainly early bulb replacements Cons Fans can be distracting revving up and down once and a while, nothing a decent soundbar can't fix Terrible audio system, but you're buying a video projector so no one cares about the audio Concerned about reviews indicating possible bulb faults causing early replacements

Good projector for not a lot of money.
Bought this to replace my previous Acer projector which was just the older model. This is definitely an upgrade. Very, very bright so it's useable even with my lights on. I do wish there was a night shift setting though so the light didn't keep me wired when I'm trying to play games to relax in the evening.

Surprised to say the least
I will start by saying, I did not have high expectations for this projector. We were looking for an inexpensive cinema projector for a home theater. I saw this projector had decent reviews on a tech website, then saw it was on sale for $250. We bought the projector hoping for the best, but expecting the worst (especially from Acer). I would rate this projector as comparable to a friend's projector that cost almost 10-times the amount. The "professional" cinema projector has darker blacks and a brighter picture. But for 1/10th of the cost, we are not complaining and it is not a very noticeable issue. I was most surprised about the quality of the image with the blinds open or lights on. I expected the picture quality to completely diminish, but that isn't the case with this projector. We had a weird issue when the remote didn't sync to the projector on first use. We contacted Acer, and by the time they responded it magically fixed itself. My only real complaint about the remote is the small-size. I can not count the number of times the remote has been lost to the couch cushions for days at a time.

Work great for the price.
Have purchased 3 for my church and they work very good for our building and price range.

Great for the price!
Bought this Acer to replace a 550 lm LED projector. HUGE improvement in brightness. I can now watch in the day without darkening all the windows. This ACER is solid in every aspect. No, it's not 1080, but not all programs are broadcast in 1080, and I'm not sure I could see the difference anyway. If you've got the extra $150, you might be happier with the BenQ. But I paid less than $300 (on eBay--they're still there), and I'm totally satisfied.

Good picture, aggravating default reset on zoom
This projector has a very good picture for the money, however, the digital zoom level setting I need for my screen size goes back to default and has to be reset every time I turn it on. Also, when there are images with very heavy RED content (like the NETFLIX logo), there is a random flicker. I am using a 100" screen and have no physical adjustment available for the mounting location, so with the lens adjusted for smallest possible screen size, I still need to reduce the zoom by 1 notch to fit my screen. This minor annoyance should be a retained setting the same way color/contrast/brightness/keystone sets. It also resets to default zoom anytime the signal from my receiver to the projector changes source.
