Compact mini PC with Ryzen 5 6600U, 32GB LPDDR5 RAM, 500GB M.2 PCIe4.0 SSD, dual HDMI, WiFi 6 for smooth performance in entertainment, web, and office. Review: Surprisingly powerful and quiet, makes a great home server - Got the SER5/5560U/16G/1TB at a reasonable price and so far have been very happy with it. I'm using it as a home server to run dedicated game servers, a PLEX media server for my local network, as a media box plugged into my TV, and a general web browsing PC. It's been powerful enough to have all of that running simultaneously with no problems using less than 10% of the CPU and around 40% RAM. It's able to run Parsec to remote into my main gaming PC on the local network and play games off it at solid FPS and low-to-zero latency, sometimes I forget I'm playing remotely. It was also surprisingly capable of playing many games natively with the settings turned down, runs older games even with high settings, and makes a good PC for emulation as the CPU has excellent single-thread performance. It's virtually silent, uses very little electricity, and stays cool in normal use. It has bluetooth but also enough USBs to connect a wired mouse and keyboard in the back and still have two free slots in the front for other things plus a front USB-C port. It even has a 3.5 inch jack for audio output to speakers or headphones. I've seen in a few videos that it has a dedicated 2.5 inch laptop hard drive slot that can support up to an extra 2tb drive. The only problem is that I've been having some issues with the graphics chipset driver resetting every few days, but that may just be a driver problem. It's also positively tiny, you could easily mount it to the back of a TV with the supplied bracket or bring it with you somewhere. Amazing piece of kit! Review: Decent quality and value Ryzen PC, but not the highest performance possible. - This mini PC is very small and discrete, slightly smaller footprint than some other models. The case is slightly uninspiring grey plastic, but seems well screwed together. The power supply is surprisingly internal, meaning you don't need a separate laptop-type transformer. This has 2 negatives: 1) difficult to replace the internal transformer if it fails; 2) performance seems to be throttled to manage the temperature of the processor when under load. It doesn't seem to turbo boost the clock speed to the possible maximum, and I couldn't find any bios settings that would over ride that. However, the plus side is that it's very quiet, and actual performance in general usez including photo editing, is smooth and responsive. If you pay a discounted price it represents a solid choice, but not a model that gives all the performance that the AMD Ryzen 6600u is capable of, and I would therefore say represents decent value for money. Check connectivity since it has a mixture of USB and hdmi ports, which may or may not suit your needs. Came with a legitimate licensed copy of Windows 11 which allowed setup without an online account. No virus or malware found when I scanned it. Some upgrades are possible to memory and storage if you are happy to partly disassemble the PC.

So Far So Good For Beelink SER 5 Ryzen 5 5560U, 16GB Ram, 1TB NVME
Purchased this mini pc to replace an old HP SFF with a Ryzen 5 2400G and 8GB of RAM that did not support Windows 11. After so much research, reading and watching reviews on YouTube etc. regarding the best mini pc to get, I got drawn into too much technical information regarding processors, geekbench scores etc., how each different mini pc's can run games effectively, DDR4 vs DDR5 RAM and so on, it made me feel like I needed a more powerful pc than this with a better processor, more RAM etc. and that this pc would not be good enough. Finally 2 common sense YouTube reviewers from the UK made me see sense. Thanks guys. I just needed to get a newer pc that can run Windows 11 and wanted something small with at least 1TB storage as would only be using for work i.e. MS Office, Emails, TEAMS meetings, Web Surfing, YouTube and occasionally some video editing and I don't play any games. These reviewers showed and made it quite clear this pc would be more than up to the task I need it for as well as it being quiet and using little power. After connecting up and turning on, Windows 11 Pro 21H2 was pre-installed and after setting up, I was up and running in no time. I then visited AMD.com to update the processor drivers. After sorting out my MS office and my works accounts, Outlook, VPN etc., installing Chrome, setting up OneDrive and a few others bits and bobs, I was ready to go fully in under an hour. Within 24 hours another windows update was available for Windows 11 23H2 and updated with no issues. The 2 common sense YouTube reviewers are spot on. This little PC is lightning fast, certainly much faster than my old HP. It has so far ran Office programs, lots open at a time and some complex spreadsheets with macros, web surfing and watching some 4k videos with no issues whatsoever. I also was able to edit and export a video from VSDC in about a 3rd of time of my old HP with no issues. It is so quiet and stays cool. I have had no wi-fi issues so far as one or two have commented upon. 16GB of RAM is more than adequate for my needs and the Ryzen 5 5560 processor is also more than up to the task for what I need. Only1 minor quibble is not enough USB 3.2 ports, but still, it has more than most laptops, so used a USB extender with 5 additional 3.2 ports, 1 with power to connect other parts of my desk set up. For such a small PC that cost nearly half the price of my old SFF HP from 5 years ago, this little pc is an absolute bargain for day to day work.

Get this instead of those N100 or N305 (or their variants ) machines.
32GB (2x16) SODIMM DDR5 alone is now ยฃ364 at Crucial, thanks to AI. I got this as my homelab so use case is different. But before I wipe out everything, I installed windows, and got all the updates, it is massively better than N100 series machines (which all cores/threads are saturated when performing Windows updates). Not good for gaming but good for normal use like internet, steaming or media playing and some documents. This PC uses LPDD5x soldered ram, which is likely why the price is reasonable when ram price skyrocketed. But this โlow priceโ wonโt last long. Value is good for that 32GB ram. N100 variants officially support only 16GB ram and single channel only. Itโs very quiet. Quality is good.

Small and awesome
Loved the small size of this and the features. I was concerned about set-up, because so very often computers have some issue that needs to be worked out or worked around. I was very pleasantly surprised that it worked exactly as it should with not a single issue to deal with. I split my time between England and the US and use the computer for graphics. I laptop is not ideal because of the limited screen size. I use a 3 TB wallet to carry files. But with this I decided to just carry the entire computer and use a transformer in one location. No worry about if I remembered to back up all files. So it actually turned out to be really cost effective. Now I just have a monitor in each location.

Really pleased with my choice!
After a load of research into mini PCs, and about an hour making a spreadsheet to figure out the actual prices of the many variants with many varying discounts, I settled on the SER6 Ryzen 9 6900HX with 32GB RAM + 500 GB disk. This model comes with 2 x 16GB of genuine Crucial RAM and a Crucial NVMe drive, plus an empty slot for a second NVMe drive. The machine came with Windows 11 Pro preinsatlled. I fired it up to check everything worked, then installed a fresh copy of Win 11 from a USB stick using Microsoft's installation media creator. Note that if you do this and wipe the drive, the Windows install process will ask you for your Windows 11 license key. You should grab this from the original Beelink Windows installation before you start - it can be found in the Windows Registry (regedit) - find instructions via your favourite search engine. With my fresh Windows 11 install configured just how I like it, I went into the BIOS and made sure it was turned on to high performance mode (which is noisier and uses more power). I then installed a load of games. I generally play older games rather than brand new titles. It takes a little tweaking to find the settings that work for more demanding games like GTA V and RDR2. I found they play well at 1600 x 900 with medium settings, but GTA in particular began struggling at full HD. Others I've tried include Trackmania, Horizon Chase Turbo, WRC 8 and Toybox Turbos (I like racing games!), GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas - all of these run great. Overall very pleased with this machine. Don't expect it to play 2024 AAA games but for older titles it's fine, and for productivity work like Photoshop, video editing or music production it would be fantastic.

Greta for Home Lab :easily handles daily tasks and its ideal for home or office use.
The Beelink SER5 Mini PC with the AMD Ryzen5 5560U is an impressive compact desktop solution. With 6 cores, 12 threads, and speeds up to 4.0GHz, it easily handles everyday tasks. I appreciate how easy it is to upgrade the RAM and NVMe SSD, its quiet operation, and the fact that it stays cool even under load. Having Windows 11 Pro pre-installed is a big bonus, saving setup time. However, there are a few areas for improvement. It would benefit from a second Ethernet port, an additional NVMe socket for expansion, and upgrading the gigabit Ethernet to 2.5G for better home networking. Overall, though, I'm very happy with this mini PC's performance and versatility in my home lab, having it run docker
