This is a review of the Kazoo brand - tent model: Neptune 4P. Got this tent because my son’s favorite color is yellow and he’s active in Boy Scouts. It took about 15 minutes to put it together by reading the instructions. (I think the next time we put it together, we could do it in less time.) They were well written and easy to understand. This tent came with a plastic mallet and 18 stakes. The “bathtub design” floor goes up higher than most tents I’ve used. The sleeves for the poles are continuous across the whole tent which is very helpful when setting up. Also, the sleeves and poles are color coded which is a tremendous help. I love that the rain fly goes almost all the way to the ground. The tent has two doors and two entry vestibules, which are very large. Overall, the tent is spacious and has lots of tie downs and it would be great in rain or high wind. Top vents on two sides can open with a plastic stand that attaches to velcro to allow for air flow. I’m confused about the red poles going to the sides because they are elevated/don’t go all the way to the ground - should it be that way? I’ve never seen a tent like that. There’s a hole for an extension cord, which is a bonus! Without the rain fly on, there is tons of mesh ventilation so in Texas summer heat, this would be great. However, when the rain fly is on, two of the side vents are blocked, reducing air flow significantly. I wish there was a way to prop these two side vents open similar to the vents on the top of the fly. The tag says it’s a three-season tent but because of the rain fly going almost all the way to the bottom, I would use this in a Texas mild winter. Overall, it was a good value for the money and would recommend others to purchase.

The title speaks volumes. I was skeptical purchasing this tent as I am with all products that come from Amazon but, this was a solid purchase. I use this as my home for months at a time while I’m working wildfires and it has survived a variety of weather conditions. It kept me and my belongings dry during torrential down pours and did not blow away, rip or tear during heavy winds averaging 50mph +. It is spacious and well designed to survive inclement weather. The zippers and seams have performed flawlessly on mine. The only con is the stakes that come with it are junk and it should come with a footprint. Purchase better stakes and make your own footprint for it. Other than that, I expect this tent to last several seasons. Update** Tent has been discontinued which is extremely disappointing. During the 2025 fire season, my rainfly finally tore due to UV exposure. The tent and poles were still in excellent condition. I emailed the company and received no response when I asked if a replacement rainfly could be purchased. I have yet to find a tent as good as this one. Wish they’d bring it back.

For the 4-person Neptune tent. After using it for one night, I really like it. The fabric felt lighter in general than past tents I’ve owned, which is nice for camping in hot climates. I didn’t use the rain fly. The tent is big enough for 3 sleeping bags to fit side by side with extra space in between and space for gear by your feet. 4 sleeping bags could fit, but it would be really tight. I didn’t use the rain fly. I like that the door is about 6” off the floor so dirt and water isn’t likely to get drug in. One interesting thing is that there’s a small triangle screen window about 6” off the floor. It’s great for airflow, but is a little strange for privacy since there’s no cover to zip up. Probably N/A if the rain fly is over it. Unfortunately, after only one night in fair weather, when putting it away I noticed that one of the grommets that holds the tent pole in place had completely fell out of the fabric (see photo). The tent was easy to setup and doesn’t have a lot of parts, so it really ruins things when one of the basic parts doesn’t work. Fortunately, customer support was very easy to work with and resolved the issue within a week of messaging. I would buy again. Somebody mentioned in a review that the tent poles were permanently attached at one end and they didn’t like it. My poles weren’t attached to the tent. So maybe they’re improving the product as they go.

Tent came a day earlier than was expected per Amazon tracking for a surprising fast delivery. This tent was honestly so easy to put together that we thought we were here reading the directions wrong. It snaps together in a matter of a minute and comes with minimal parts so you can't overcomplicate assembly like we were trying to do! Even the instruction sheet was durable and sewn inside the carrying case so it's never lost. There is lots of netting for a very breathable, well ventilated tent that made for great star gazing. It also comes with an attachable water cover that was extremely waterproof. It easily fit our family of three including my 6 foot tall husband. It was not hot or stuffy overnight, making it comfortable for the young one to sleep. In the morning it was a fast and easy disassembly and the tent is lightweight enough that even I volunteered to carry it. We really liked it's sleek design and high ceiling. My toddler especially had a lot of fun with putting his camping chair out on the "porch" feature. I loved the bright blue color. It came exactly as pictured and described. I could not have picked a better tent. I am very happy withy purchase and would highly recommend.

I just got my tent today for "solo senior camping". (My husband doesn't want to go anymore and we sold our trailer) I set the tent up in our living room tonight by myself in about 1/2 hour. If I had been outdoors it would have been easier as I was working around the TV, sofa and woodstove! Things I love already: the color coded poles that match the color coded sleeves on the tent make it foolproof...Instructions are sewn into the carry bag so they won't get lost....zippers are really smooth...ventilation seems well thought out...obviously it's not raining in the living room, but the well thoughtout features to keep rain out of the front opening of the rainfly make me confident I will stay dry (velcro closures, elastic sewn into the top of the door to insure a tight closure and a nice 2" fabric overlapping the zipper to keep the rain out) All the stakes are here and the guylines are attached already and waiting to be staked. A heavy plastic mallet is included, but I'm thinking a hammer will work better. The carrying case is compact, a little heavy but will work well for car camping. I'll update this review after a test run in the outdoors, but for now it looks great in my living room!

There are two of us and we normally camp using a foam mattress. This tent is perfect for us. There is tons of room for the mattress and our gear. The assembly is easy and one person can do it, no problem. The ventilation is also nice. We camp in places that sometimes don't have a lot of shade. So the fact that this tent has good ventilation is a major plus. Also, we love the little porch in the tent design. It gives added room for our gear and shoes. We had always struggled with keeping the dirt out of our other tents. But with the little porch area, it is so much easier. We also really use the hook on the top of the tent. Great place to hang lighting and super durable. Only complaint is that the zippers do sometimes get stuck on the fabric. However, that happens with most tents we have used. All and all, this is a great tent and great value. I would highly recommend.

I bought this tent for my son to use with his Boy Scout troop, and they decided to really put it to the test before their first campout. The leaders simulated a heavy rainstorm by hitting it with a power washer during one of their meetings—about as extreme as you can get! The tent held up beautifully. No leaks, no sagging, and it stayed completely dry inside. It’s quick to set up, feels sturdy, and clearly can handle the kind of weather you’d worry about on a real campout. My son is excited and confident to use it on his trips now. Highly recommend this tent for Scouts, camping trips, or anyone needing reliable shelter. It definitely exceeded our expectations.

This tent was very easy to put up, I thought I loved the idea of the cover over the front door until the first rain. This collected water as if that was its sole job. I will say that this speaks to the strength of the poles as they did not snap with almost 10 gallons of water being held in the fly. This combined with the warmth of the tent (very warm, not a summer tent) led to returning it If you are looking for a spring/fall/winter tent you will be very happy with it, but it’s entirely to warm with the front cover closed and at that point is a water collection point.
