But I'm a bachelor right out of college learning about stuff like this...How does it work?** A: Questions like this aren't 'mundane". It's the people who don't ask questions (or are too proud to ask them) that tend to get themselves into trouble. Someone else mentioned Wagner cast iron pans; if I recall correctly, my grandmother had one, and it lasted for decades (and she ,made incredible hamburgers). **Q: Is this product made in the United States? If not, what is the country origin?** A: If a product is made in the USA it is not required to say so. But if a product is NOT made in the USA it is a requirement that it MUST say on the label the COUNTRY OF ORIGIN. When a commercial shipment enters the USA and the country of origin is not properly listed on the item it is supposed to be prevented from entering by US Customs Inspectors. **Q: Besides cooked on bits, will this remove whitish or grey spots on the inside of my stainless steel frying pans? I prefer not to use steel wool.** A: I'm not sure about the white marks but I looked up the part about "whitish or grey spots" and they might be mineral (calcium) stains.
