Easy-to-read numbers, slick design
We've had our old wall clock for YEARS but everything has it's life time and it finally gave up about four months ago (took me a while to write a review:)). We decided to try a new brand and zoomed in on a Marathon brand. So far, happy with functionality and features we were looking for: large numbers, indoor and outdoor temps, week days displaying etc. We're pleasantly surprised with the fact that, despite the overall size, all numbers are big enough in order to be seen from at least 7-8 feet. Will update in 6 months but, most likely, would recommend to others.

Great Kitchen Wall Clock
I love these large display wall clocks with satellite linked time automatically adjusted once set. This one includes an outdoor temperature sensor which is easy to set up and link with the clock. Displays time, date, indoor and outdoor temperature and can easily be read from across a large room. I have had one of these from the close out of the old Radio Shack but this one is a big improvement.

Can't think of any better clock than this
Simple and stylish. Can't think of any better clock than this. Pros: 1) Stylish & Large display 2) Clear & Sharp display, larger viewing angle 3) Accurate indoor and outdoor temperature 4) Radio controlled clock works perfectly (Unless like my previous Ambient Weather) 5) Excellent build quality Suggestion /Improvements: 1) Get rid of alarm clock feature, I can't think of a reason why someone would want to use in this age of cellphones 2) Automatic back-lit upon dark. Back-lit display to be very faint and to use batteries rather than AC

A step up from the other brands
I've had similar atomic clocks with inside/outside temperature. This one is a little bigger, a whole lot easier to set up, and so far, more reliable. The other ones lose connection with the outside temperature frequently (which is probably our most-used feature), but this one stays connected. Marathon seems to make better quality clocks. I would purchase this again.

Good, But Has Some Quirks
I bought this clock to replace a similarly-featured La Crosse Technology clock that died after 15 years' of service. I like this clock since it has a smaller surrounding frame and bigger clock display area. The calendar and temperature displays are easier to read than on my old La Crosse clock. However, having just gone through the DST to Standard Time transition, this clock DID NOT automatically change to Standard Time. I had to manually turn off the DST feature to get the correct time. My old La Crosse clock and another La Crosse clock I now have automatically did the DST to Standard Time transition without any manual intervention. Had the Marathon clock automatically handled the DST to Standard Time transition, I would have given it a 5-star rating.

Very easy to read accurate time and temp!
Clock was easy to get setup with the temperature remote. Starting them next to each other I could see good 0.5 degree agreement between the two sensors. Was a little hard to find a somewhat sheltered site for the outdoor sensor since the direction seemed to imply being directly in the rain would be sub-optimal. Clock has synced well with the Boulder CO time broadcast in general. One time the icon disappeared after many days of rain, but I moved the clock a little closer to the window and the icon showed it re-synced just fine. It might have done so without me moving it. I've since put it back on the shelf where it normally is, and it's kept sync without fail since then (about a month) Can't comment on the battery life, but one month in I'm quite happy....

Marathon clock was easy to set up - and it's accurate!
Bought the Marathon Clock to replace an old analog clock that expired. The analog clock included gear-driven day, and date wheels but the DAY AND DATE were NEVER CORRECT! Took the Marathon Clock out of the box, inserted the batteries and mounted the outside sensor outside the kitchen wall. Never touched it since and the time, date, indoor and outdoor temperature are perfectly accurate! Good "clock"!!!

Inaccurate outside readings.
I bought the $60 model instead of the $30 thermometers, because I thought it would be more accurate. I love the size of the read outs. My old eyes can read it across the room. I bought a spare outside transmitter because they seem to go bad. It bought it from a different supplier, identical. At temperatures below 50, the outside readings can be 6-8 degrees higher than actual. Why do they bother with having read outs showing 1/10 degrees. The 2 transmitters do read less than a half degree difference when placed side by side. But I have several precision thermometers that I place next to them, and they are reading 6-8 degrees colder. Before buying this I read a couple reviews saying 6 degree difference. Even great products can have a bad one slip through now and then. And you never know how other people critique. I've seen people say their car got x mpg because the gauge was a half tank and they had gone so many miles. I'm almost mild OCD. I don't comb my carpet. But 6 degrees is the difference between wearing a coat or not. I haven't contacted the seller yet.

We'd actually bought it for a relative, but they didn't want it, and so we kept it. We had a previous LARGE DISPLAY clock inherited from a different relative, but this one was bigger and had more more information. The display is crisp and HUGE, meaning you can read it across a sizeable room. The update of the time from shortwave radio signals works well for us, and the clock is always accurate to the second. The indoor and outdoor temperature feature is also great. The clock comes with a wireless outdoor temperature sensor.

Everything works well except the outside temp sensor. Don’t know why but it sometimes gives a very loud warning alarm. Just gave up using that sensor. But the clock is good.

The clock is attractive enough to hang on the kitchen wall. The display is large with solid contrast making it easy to read, and the indoor/outdoor temperature displays are very useful. We also like the accuracy and the fact that we do not need to set it, not even at Daylight Savings Time. The batteries have lasted almost a full year now with no problems.

I bought two of these to replace two two similar clocks, from another manufacturer, that I’ve had for 15 years and the outdoor temperature transmitters died. I set up the first clock and it synchronized with the outdoor temperature and the Boulder time signal within a couple of minutes. The second one took a day and a half to synchronize the time and date. Strangely it didn’t synchronize overnight and I was preparing to return it for a replacement. But it must have heard me because unexpectedly it synchronized in the middle of the day. So other than the frustration of waiting longer than it should normally take for setup to be complete, I’m fairly happy. My only other complaint is that this “Canadian” designed product has an outdoor temperature sensor range of -20 C. C’mon! I live in Manitoba and in the winter we can go weeks at a time where the temperature never warms above -20. Also, on warm days, I find that the outdoor temperature reading is high by 2 of more degrees Celsius.
