Barry's is the best tea I have found and this decaf tea allows my wife and I to drink it into the evening, especially during colder months...love it! Good strength of flavor.

Barry's Irish Breakfast Tea is quite robust yet smooth. The flavor is quite good. For one 10 ounce serving (standard coffee mug) I find it to be too strong and bitter when steeped for the recommended 3-5 minutes. I reduce the steep time to about 1 and one-half minutes and it is perfect but still very robust. Unlike some of the black teas which I drink plain or with a small amount of honey, I prefer Barry's with cream and sugar. Barry's has a very high caffeine content so I only drink it in the morning or early afternnoon. From a price perspective, it is a bargain.

I am a tea lover, specifically loose leaf tea. I have over 100 teas in my collection and I wrote a tea blog for over a year. I've never been a drinker of decaffeinated tea because I always found them to taste flat (at best) or stale. I'm not lumping herbals in with my classification of decaffeinated teas, because herbals aren't really tea. I have recently had a new onset of atrial fibrillation which has made my system intolerant of caffeine. I went from a years-long habit of high daily tea consumption to none. (The Lord gives. The Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.) So I began a search for a drinkable decaffeinated tea. My search confirmed my earlier opinion of decaf tea -- flat and stale. Even custom blends from established tea shops. Yuck! Was I consigned to a lifetime of drinking herbals? (There are some very good herbals, but they're just not tea.) Browsing on Amazon, I did a search for decaf teas and found a lot of good reviews for Barry's Decaffeinated Tea. It was less than ten bucks, so I gave it a chance. I'm glad I did. This is the finest grocery store type "tea bag" tea I've ever had. If it didn't say it on the box, I would never had guessed it to be a decaf. It's rich and smooth with only a hint of astringency. I drink mine with a little bit of raw honey, but for those who are so inclined, I'm sure that it would go well with a splash of milk or a squeeze of lemon. My only complaint is with the packaging. The paper tea bags are unwrapped in a lightweight cardboard box. You'll need to transfer the bags to an opaque, air-tight container to retain their freshness. I still miss my daily excursions into the regions of Assam, Darjeeling, and Yunnan, but Barry's Decaffeinated Tea is a lifeline to a dedicated tea drinker who can no longer tolerate caffeine. Highly recommended.

Super, dass auch entkoffinierter Tee so gut schmecken kann. Trinke tagsüber sonst nur kräftige Schwarztees wie Ostfriesenmischung oder Assam. Dieser hier ist zurzeit mein liebster Abendtee.

Disclaimer: I'm not Irish (maybe a bit - in spirit).It is a good, solid tea.And like all things Irish (especially Brendan Gleeson - bless this man): it is a strong one, and has some character.So be aware of the fact: you leave that bag in your cup for a bit too long - you are going to get Siberian-grade drink that will keep you, uh, energized for a while.

This is great decaf tea! Great flavour, not bitter. The tea bag size is normal (sufficient for a pot) and not a mini size that you frequently get nowadays with other brands. As a result, you’re able to get a lot of flavour out of it. I had been using Tetley decaf previously, which I got from the store, and there’s so little tea in those bags that it’s impossible to get a decent cup of tea.
