Very cool lots of options

First up, if you have time on your hands and need a dexterity exercise for about an hour and a half and need some lights that are colorful but not 'picturesque' these are the lights for you.The hangers for this are 2 little plastic clamshell pieces with a 3rd plastic hook piece, you have to fiddle with these pieces and clamp them around the wire while feeding it through the slots, THEN as you have them clamped in one hand, put 2 tiny little screws in the holes and use the tiny little screwdriver to hold the thing onto the lights.NOW REPEAT THIS like 25 more times. After about the 10th hanger apparatus you will get faster at it. It took about 1.5hrs to get all the hanger pieces assembled onto the light string and hang it.The lights are neat and paired easily, however the quality of the PICTURE "resolution" represented in the listing is no where near a clean image, there are not enough lights to resolve an image.The lights however are colorful and have plenty of modes.If you like a frustrating experience and do not want the image capabilities in the pics in the listing, go for it. I would not buy this again...I have so much time invested in screwing the hangers on I will keep them though...

The media could not be loaded. I currently own several sets of smart string lights. What I liked about these is that they are curtain lights. I like the flexibility of curtain lights because it allows me to actually create pictures as well as text in the lights. In addition to the curtain lights this set comes with a power supply, remote, instruction manual and associated hardware for mounting. You can control these lights with either the included remote, the control box, or a Wi-Fi based app. The first thing that I did per the instructions is download the app using the QR code included in the manual. Everything went without a hitch and I’m a big fan of the included app. The Wi-Fi worked great, even with the lights mounted to the outside of my house. I like the fact that you can control the lights even when you’re not at the location where the lights are installed. This means you can turn the lights on and off even when you’re not home. Unfortunately, I was not able to test the remote control because I cannot get it to work no matter what I do, including installing a new battery. It comes with a battery that metered good and I only tried the new battery because I couldn’t think of what else to do as there are no instructions for pairing the remote control. Even if I could get the remote to work, I feel this is a weak link because it is a IR remote (not RF), requiring a direct line of sight to the control box for the remote to work. This is an issue because I’m putting this on the other side of a wall where there is no clear shot to the controller. I plan to contact the company regarding the remote not working but for me it’s not a big problem because I’m going to use the Wi-Fi control anyway. I tried the sound mode while I still had it inside the house and it worked great. Because these lights consist of long wires incased in plastic, I found that they do not really hang very straight on their own. Because the LEDs do not line up when not hanging straight, the pictures are not that clear. I fixed this by mounting both the top and the bottom of the lights so that they all hang completely straight. They only include enough mounting brackets for the top of the lights so I used wire ties with hooks for the bottom. The lights are very bright for their size and have the potential to create a very nice scene of your choice when properly mounted. The app works very well because it has a bunch of different scenes to choose from and you can also create your own. I really like the fact that you can save your own created scenes regardless if they’re a picture that you draw or text that you write. Overall, I really like these lights and would’ve given them five stars if the remote had actually worked. Compared to other lights that I have, these are some of the most functional and flexible.

The media could not be loaded. These are pretty cool. They bring a smile to your face. To start with, you need to put the hooks on the lights. Each hook is made of 3 parts. I had to look at pictures to get them correct. These help space the lights and keep the top level. Keeping the top line level and tight gives the best lighting effects. I put mine in the front window. You can access a ton of different modes with the included remote. The app offers even more. I like all the images and the animations the most. I am pretty impressed. List price is a bit expensive, they would be a better deal with a coupon.Notes:- The hooks need to be attached/assembled to the lights at the top. This took me 5 minutes or so.- Keep the top of the lights tight and level for the best effect.- The vertical lights will straighten out a little but they won't be perfect.- My included remote works fine- These are a lot of fun

First unable to connect to phone unless you put your router wifi in the app. It's not being used near any wifi source. No dedicated app to control it. They use a general smart app for of and on. If you want the fancy designs in the ad you need 3rd party apps . Comes partly unassembled
