Pregabalin (PGB) Test Kit in Urine Specimen Only, 500 ng/ml, High Sensitivy and High Accuracy - 2 Count

While I do not take pregabalin, I was still curious to see how the tests operate and what they look like. Each test strip is sealed well, and comes with a very informative pamphlet with instructions and some detailed info on how they operate. After setting up one of the tests for myself, and considerably in a non-professional enviroment, I am not sure what the result is as nothing changed after the 5 minutes. For being inexperienced in test monitoring, I can only chop it up to an error on my part. I am sure they work flawless for pregabalin testing on real subjects, but unfortunately I do not have a proper way to accurately test

I got this out of curiosity to see if it would show positive. I am prescribed pregabalin for a rare nerve disease. I take enough that it shouldn't be a problem to show up on a test. I tried the test in the morning. The directions were clear to use and follow. After about 7 minutes I still only had one line appear. One line means positive. If you need to use one of these tests there is no need to wonder of they work or not.

Note that this is a pregbalin (also known as lyrica) test not a pregnancy test :)It succeeded by giving a positive result today after I took my medication.I was just curious to see if it worked, and it worked for me! I am not sure why I would need to detect it other than to show I’m actually taking it? It to make sure what I have is still good/working? But the test indeed does work!

As a baseline, we compared a known non-user of pregabalin (1 in the photo) with someone on a fairly large prescribed daily dose (2 in the photo). Both results are as expected.Note that two lines appearing indicates negative for pregabalin, while only the control line appearing indicates positive. This is a little tricky to read compared to some other tests of this style (where two lines indicates positive), but the correctly read results on our test are consistent with what we expected.We followed standard clinical cleanliness, sampling, and handling procedures, and followed the instructions provided. The kits include a tiny disposable pipette for dispensing sample into the well, which is very handy.

This test kit is easy to use and comes with everything needed to perform the testing process for PGB, including an eyedropper for collecting and placing the appropriate sample onto the test strip.The kit comes with two test devices - I asked a friend of mine who is on PGB for pain to use one kit and I used the other. The kit correctly identified my sample as negative and my friend's as positive, so the accuracy seems to be in tact.For the price and the convenience, if you need to verify the use (or non-use) of PGB-based medications, these tests seem to be a solid choice.

The kit contains the items as described. The instruction set is well written in clear English, and easy to understand. The instructions also include very in-depth information on how the test works, and what it's limitations are. It's what I'd expect to be included in a lab quality test kit. Note that in order to conduct the test, you'll need to wait for the urine sample to reach room temperature, and use the dropper to place the proper amount, so this isn't a urinate on the stick type of test. I'm not able to verify the accuracy of the results, but I've no reason to suspect it's accuracy would differ from what's described. The expiration date is clearly labeled, and roughly 18 months in the future (on the one's I received).

I was just starting pregalbin, and I was curious as to how quickly the med was building up.These seemed ballpark accurate (based on what incalcylsted with respect to half life, etc, and the instructions were clear. )
