I picked up this camping kettle mainly for quick brews on trips and the occasional garden use, and for what it costs, it’s actually pretty decent—but definitely more “budget practical” than anything fancy. The first thing that stands out is the size. At 3 litres, it’s bigger than most camping kettles, which is great if you’re making tea for a group. You can easily get multiple cups out of one boil, which is perfect for camping, fishing trips, or even just having people over. Build-wise, it’s simple stainless steel—nothing premium, but it does the job. It feels lightweight and easy to carry, and it heats up reasonably quickly on a gas stove. The whistle feature is a nice touch too, so you don’t have to keep checking on it while you’re busy doing other things. () The handle and spout design are fairly practical. Pouring is straightforward, and it doesn’t feel awkward to use, though I’d still be careful because the handle can get warm after a while (pretty standard for this type of kettle). That said, you can tell where the low price comes in. It doesn’t feel super durable, and I wouldn’t trust it for heavy, long-term use or rough camping conditions. It’s more suited to casual trips rather than hardcore outdoor use. Also, because it’s quite large, it’s not the most compact option if you’re tight on packing space. Another thing to keep in mind: this is just the kettle—you’ll still need a separate gas stove if you don’t already have one. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid budget option. If you want a simple, large-capacity kettle for occasional camping or outdoor use, it does exactly what you need. Just don’t expect premium build quality—it’s more about convenience and value than longevity.

This is NOT the kettle you want. The same day I bought it, used it once and the handle was too hot to touch and melted a bit on the side and the 2nd time the entire plastic on the spout melted off

I was happy with the size of it. But unfortunately the quality is poor. The lid on the spout doesn't work properly causing it to not close fully and as a result no whistle! So when I put on the kettle, I have to check repeatedly to see if the water is boiling or not. So, in my opinion, it fails in it's basic function of a whistling kettle.

Brilliant kettle, typical looking camping kettle, it's very light, stable and the boiling is brilliant - very good kettle. Will last a while I reckon. We made a few cuppas with it and even boiled some hot dogs in it because we forgot the saucepan 😅. It's very shiny too, so if you need to check your hair before going the toilets, use it 😂

The fitting over the spout is not flush, therefore the kettle does not whistle.
