But the Dreo cartridges are the best I've found, and contain 3 to 4 times the resin filter medium that cheaper cartridges do. I know because i've taken the time to cut several brands open to examine the contents. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Doesn't Smell Like Fish *by on Reviewed in the United States February 29, 2024* I was reluctant to buy these filters beacuse of the reviews complaining that they smelled like fish. Apparently these people haven't smelled fish before because these filters smell nothing like fish to me and I grew up on a lake. There is a definite odor that I noticed when I first installed the filters, but it was more akin to an odor of a t-shirt that hadn't been washed before coming from wherever it was made. It's hard to explain, but it's sort of a sterile manufacturing type smell. Not off-putting at all and kind of faint, but certainly noticeable. That said, it's not an odor that bothers me in the least (it sort of notifies me that the humidifier is on) and I haven't seen any white powder since using the filters. The downside of course is the cost, but don't let the "fish odor" reviews deter you.
