It's going to stay gold or silver etc. as long as you do not get it wet or get lotion or skin care products on it. In 20 to 40 years, items like this will fetch a price of hundreds of dollars because they will be vintage and antique. Take care of your costume jewelry. Purchased this to complement an outfit for a fancy event, it's really beautiful. I am on the larger side and it fit very nice. I paired it with a looser bracelet so it created a nice little stack. Pricing is perfect, saw an identical one in a shop for over double the price.
