This is a fantastic motherboard, it’s nice how it has 4 slots for ram and supports up to 128gb ddr5 ram, it arrived fast and installation was quick and easy!

I've been using the MAG Z790 for just under a year now and I've been very happy with it without any issues. I'm not technical and you'll find other reviews providing a better technical insight but I did do a lot of research into gaming motherboards within this price point. I found that MSI came on top of other similar well known brands for it's balance of performance and features. The MSI build quality is very good, looks good, and easy to setup. I've pared mine with the following and it runs like a dream. - Intel 14700K CPU - MSI GTX 4080 super - Samsung 980 pro 2GB m.2 - CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 - Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS I have had no issues so far with MAG Z790 motherboard and would highly recommend it. I would also recommend to anyone building their new rig to do research based on other reviews and comparing specs.

This is a good motherboard, lots of features, ports, connectivity etc. It's working really well in the PC I just built. But two things to be aware of. Firstly, if you are building a new PC and installing Windows 11 Pro 64-bit, (not sure about other versions), the ethernet and wifi won't initially work. There is a CD supplied with the board which will probably fix this, but my new PC doesn't have an optical drive. So you need to go to the MSI web site using another PC, download the driver on to a USB stick, then install from the USB stick on your new PC. Once you have done this, the internet will work and MSI will automatically fix all the other drivers for you. The only other negative is that there is an MSI Center task automatically installed, which gives you pages and pages of an agreement and asks you to accept the licence conditions. I did this three times and it still popped up on every boot up. In the end I used Task Manager to disable it completely. So in conclusion, it's a very nice board, loads of features, supported the processor and DDR that I wanted, but it could have been an easier installation. So 4 stars out of 5.

Having recently re-built a new PC due to my old one being quite old, and worn down it took a while to figure out the best combo's to get things going. I knew I was going Intel, and going with the latest, so it was just determining the right motherboard to go with it. As PC builders, we know it can be difficult getting everything right especially with CPU compatibility in motherboards, but MSI have made this so much easier. Gone are the days of needing a spare CPU that's already compatible to update the bios so the new one works, with the EZ flash button, I was just able to download the bios files on my existing PC, put em on a memory stick, and press that button. Doesn't need anything except power and it will do the job. I can honestly say, this saved me so much worry that things wouldn't work. Additionally with 2 M.2 slots, I now have another slot spare for when I inevitably put in another SSD. These also have heatsinks on the motherboard, ensuring that your new storage is kept nice an cool. Overall, this motherboard has been a stellar upgrade for me, and it has been an absolute weight off my shoulders that MSI have thought so heavily in making this as easy as possible for people to work with. So if you are in the market for a new motherboard, I would 100% recommend this to anyone (I've even recently recommended to a couple of friends who are doing their upgrades soon). I honestly could not be happier with this.

This thing is beefy and strong and has tons of plug-ins. It's worked great for me so far and it was easy to figure out what goes where. Highly recommended.

If you are thinking about it, this is a great motherboard to take you to 13th generation intel and DDR5. Heavy recommendation to flash update bios (easy to do - google) prior to installing system, to ensure best configuration with updated CPU/RAM releases. Great software inclusions with all MSI motherboards. Love the hardware monitoring tools, but mystic light will brighten your day as well. Solid recommendation from me.

Wifi is temperamental and weak.
