This is a very erotic type of mystery story. It is between a woman and her step brother. Now, the mystery has a erotic horror twist and just when you think you have figured it out you begin to question if you really have. I loved that about this book! Its a yeah I know to what?! Maybe I don't know.. Lol! It's very well written and flows perfectly from past events back to the present. It's unique to have a mystery plus horror plus eroticism all combined in one book. The scenes are dark but no degradation or kinks that would make a reader of dark erotic books disturbing. It's a bit of a twisted man who is in love and goes over the top to prove it. He's a very over protective alpha and hotter than sin! It's a great book I recommend it highly!

**Spoilers ahead!!!**This book wasn’t bad. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the spice as well as the mystery. However, I will say if you are not interested in reading spicy novels with, masked men, bondage, and step siblings, this book is not for you.Btw my favorite line is the the last sentence of page 50. 🤣🤣🤣

This is the first story I've read from this author. I loved it. I can't wait to read more from her. I love the characters. It's a dark story with a stalker who is a bit psycho.

Devyn has experienced a lot of loss in a short amount of time between her grandparents dying and her ex boyfriend cheating she just wants to escape. Taking the RV she inherited from her grandfather, she sets up in a campground surrounded by woods. The first night there a masked man comes to visit and widens her horizons. However, just when she thinks she's found happiness her stepbrother, Ryker, comes to tell her he's always wanted her. Devyn is stuck between wanting two very persistent men, how can she choose?This is a fast burn mf stalker romance. It's obvious who the masked man is but it's entertaining to read Devyn figure it out. Tropes include somniophilia, step brother, obsessive/possessive, stalker, and knife/blood play.

Fun read. I wonder if the author is a Sleepy Head. ♥️ pg190.

Jennifer Rose's "Deceived" was E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.—it just hit so well. Yes, I went in blind based on the cover alone. I didn't even read the summary. The book cover is a guy wearing a hockey mask, and the title says "Deceived: A Dark Masked Stalker." It's perfection. "Deceived" had the components of what I look for in a short, dark read. Jennifer Rose got right into it. The Masked Man was creepy and did creepy things. Devyn was a wee bit clueless, but I went with it. And her stepbrother Ryker was every bit dang3r0us and hot.Devyn is grieving over her grandparent's passing, followed by her breakup with her boyfriend. She decides to take her RV and get away for a while.However, the Masked Man shows up and does various schm¡nky things to her. There is one smokin' scene in a church. So many schm¡nky scenes are well written in "Deviant" that are now ingrained in my mind—this novella is ranking pretty high for this month's reads.

I loved this book. The perfect novella to get you into the spooky and spicy season!!Stalking, obsession and spicy af scenes that leave you wanting a stalker of your very own.While this was dark themed it was lighter than Scream for us by Molly Doyle, so perfect for those looking to get into Dark romance or stalker drama. While I was not suprised by the ending I loved that even psychos get their happily ever after. As I received an ARC, one thing I would add is the tenses jumped all over in the beginning of the story, past and present tense when only present should have been used. Perhaps a bit more editing/proofreading in the future. The deadline to provide edits was too short. Overall, I'm happy with the book and would definitely read more of the authors work in the future.

If you love unhinged stalkers …Ryker is the book boyfriend for you. Definitely check your trigger warnings,it does get dark at times.

Wow! What a story! I loved this more than I thought I would! Couldn't put it down! It's one of the best stalker books I've read. I absolutely loved Ryker. Couldn't help but fall in love with him. First book I've read from Jennifer, and it won't be my last! Nailed it!

This is a story of a very unhinged man who stopped at nothing to get the woman of his dreams, he went through great lengths & that’s dedication. 👏🏼I think the author was alluding to who the Masked Man was the entire time, Devyn just needed to catch up🖤Is it perfect? No. But is it sinfully twisted & smutty? Yes!I loved this for exactly what it was❤️‍🔥*I couldn’t find the trigger warning list for this book so I just dove in; & was not disappointed*
