I've never bought an ice tray like this, but it does exactly what it says it does. It took a few experimental tries to get all the ice cubes (?) to come out spherical, but that's not a fault of the product. In my experience, fill the tray to the absolute maximum on a flat surface. Slowly press the lid down using the indicated spots in the lid. There will be water left on top of the lid. Don't try to pour it off -- just let it freeze. When it comes time to decant the cubes (?) run some warm water over both the top of the try and then slowly peel the silicone lid back. It works for me. Your mileage might vary.

i would like more ice more trays so can have more cubes best size for crunching

This ice box is very excellent for its quality. Though you may think it is a bit expensive than other, but its material is really good, and I can get the ice balls with easy twist. Really worth the money.

i like that the ice tray fits on top of the ice bin, and the size of the ice spheres. however, filling the ice tray can be more tedious than typical trays, because if the silicone part isn't perfectly sealed to the bottom part of the tray, then ice forms between the spheres. also, the process for filling the tray can be messy and wastes water. the top lid isn't secured to the tray, and the tray has started to warp, exposing the ice in both compartments to freezer smells. i wish i hadn't bought this.

I love it. Perfect sized ice balls. But there was a crack on the lid when it arrived.

I was already a fan of the W&P brand. They make great kitchenware and upscale food storage containers, so I knew I was in for a treat when I ordered this ice cube tray. It’s well designed and made of good quality materials. The packaging states that it’s BPA free. There are instructions on the back of the packaging that tell you how to make the ice balls. The key is to make sure that you snap the silicone mold to the plastic ice cube tray underneath. There are little knobs that connect the two layers. That’s the important part to make sure that the ice balls for properly. It took me a few tries to get the form right, but after that it was smooth sailing. I enjoy using the ball ice! Somehow it makes my water taste better. I also use water from my Berkey to make the ice and that makes it even more enjoyable.The storage box is compact and doesn't take up too much space in the freezer. It does take a while to fill up because the system only comes with one tray. It would be great to have the option to buy an additional tray or provide a variant with two trays.
