Beautiful gift for a friend who just lost her father.

I got this to record my thoughts and memories about my father who passed way 1 1/2 years ago. I started journaling after he passed and it has been very therapeutic for me. I will use this to express my feelings on his birthday, Father's day, the anniversary of his death, etc. He was never short on advice, solicited or unsolicited so this seems fitting as a way to honor his memory and wisdom. I will probably purchase the one for Mom as well. This would make a thoughtful gift for anyone who has lost a special father. The journal is about 8" x 4 1/2" in size so it's smaller than most journals. It has lined pages and blank pages that can be used for artwork, journaling photos, etc. There's a plastic pocket in the back which I will use for mementos. There's also a section in the front that looks like it will hold credit cards/business cards which is confusing to me but, I'll figure out a use for this as well.

Great material quality. Thick paper and pocket holders. Scrap pages and more. The perfect way to write letters to a loved one who passed and remember them.

my mother recently passed away after a 10 yr Alzheimer's battle, and her bday was a week before I ordered this. it is a great way to remember her and write down any thoughts or memories or add my favorite pics. my daughter's and siblings can also add their own entries and we can share together. a great gift idea for anyone who has lost their mother. it is very nicely made, will hold up great over the years and very happy with this item. if you're reading this review, and have a mom that passed away or know someone who lost their mother, you really need this - you can thank me later!!!

My nephew's wife just lost her father, and it was especially tragic. I am really happy to give her this gift to hopefully provide some comfort.
