Works as it should. Can used with your smart phone as well. No extra installation needed just plug it in. It says it have to me mounted to the back if your laptop with magnetics but it can be used just fine without mounting it to your laptop

The media could not be loaded.  A portable monitor (extra screen real estate) helps when processing photos and graphics. This 13.3" diagonal measurement IPS portable monitor has great color rendition and is optimized for use with laptop computers. The IPS screen is protected by a cover that attaches to a laptop PC lid; in use the IPS screen slides out horizontally and stands adjacent to the laptop PC screen as a secondary screen. When not in use the IPS screen slides back into the attached cover and rides piggyback on the laptop computer. Connection is simple if the laptop PC USB-C socket supports DP ALT mode: the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable provides both power and video to the portable monitor, and Windows 10/11 automatically recognizes the secondary screen.I ordered this portable monitor for use with desktop PCs. Initially I tried connecting the portable monitor using the USB 3.0 adapter provided with the included USB-C cable; the arrangement provided power but no video because my desktop PC does not support DP ALT mode. Ultimately I used dual cables with the portable monitor: the included USB-C cable (connected to a charger) provided the necessary power, and the included HDMI to mini-HDMI cable connected my video card to the portable monitor. The included HDMI to mini-HDMI cable verified proper operation but was too short for desktop PC convenient use; ultimately I chose a 5' long cable (ASIN B088NNSDH7 not included) for the video connection. The attached video shows the portable monitor's great color rendition playing a photo slide show.I tried using the portable monitor with my Android cell phone connected by the included USB-C to USB-C cable; the cell phone did not power the portable monitor. I then powered the portable monitor with the USB-C to USB-C cable (connected to a charger) while a USB-C to mini-HDMI cable (ASIN B0CKVQFFBR not included) provided the video connection. My cell phone acknowledged a video source connection, but my Android cell phone could not be configured to provide video to the portable monitor (shrug).When attached to a laptop PC the monitor slides out in landscape (wider than tall) mode. Standing alone the attached cover can support the portable monitor in portrait (taller than wide) mode. The web page mentions an attached "kickstand" support for standalone landscape mode; the monitor I received had no kickstand. I ordered a tablet stand adjustable holder (ASIN B0CHJ6VW7Y not included) that supports the portable monitor in landscape mode; that tablet stand holder appears in the attached video and securely supports the portable monitor.

I do a lot of work that requires me to move from one screen to another on my laptop. i always thought about a second screen but never jumped in until now. This screen in compact, bright and easy to install. The installation involves sticking 4 magnets to the back of your laptop. They provide a template, self-adhiesive magnets and a prepping pad. Place the template to allow for the screen to pivot when extended. You will need to decide if you desire right or left mounting. Then prep the surface, allow to dry and apply the magnets. Then the second screen just pops on and off with the magnets holding it on, and it hold very well. Next connect your cables and away you go. Mine fired up immediately with no extra fussing around or software downloads. I web searched how to use 2 screens and in less than an hour I was up and going. I love it. Works great and was easy to install and can be removed in a few seconds.

This was the best invention ever. It’s easily attaches to my laptop to give me an extra monitors to be able to see more screen space. You can use the extend displays option in your settings on your computer and use it as three separate monitors or change the display to make it just one big monitor.

This portable screen is fantastic.You can mount it using four provided magnets and a template. The screen magnetically mounts to the back of your laptop and is easy to slide out, and turn to 180° to face outward. While the 4 magnets will be adhered to the back or you laptop, the screen can be removed and used as a stand alone portrait display, or landscape with support.One of the images shows a kickstand. I do not see anything that could be a kickstand on the unit or in the box. Really wish there was a kickstand. That would be very helpful.I need to check with the company before I mount magnets to the back of their laptop, but this portable screen will help with productivity even if it remains a standalone screen.It is thin, light, and fits easily into my laptop case.
