Works as advertised. I mistakingly thought the product did not include its own driver, so I installed a Realtek OEM 8032BU driver for it. It worked, but dropped connection at times. Later I learned that the correct Realtek driver IS installed onboard the device itself, but it appears as a virtual CD ROM that needs to be interacted with manually for it to install its own special variant of Realtek driver. Once I did that, it's been working perfectly for over a week. Very happy with it.

Uses RealTek chip. Not the greatest. I would go with another brand in the future. 2.4 GHz works fine, surprisingly well. even with a VPN. IPv6 networks are tricky with this adapter. Change your settings on the modem/router to use IPv4. 5GHz connections simply do not work. Tried Comcast, Charter, T-Mobile hotspot and AT&T hotspots with ZERO luck using 5 GHz. 6GHz is not recognized. I tested using a two different routers on LAN or WAN. I hope Dbit reaches out to me. I tried contacting them. I cannot find any forums for help/suggestions. PS. After installing and then removing, the drivers (virtual CD-ROM in File Manager) fail to show up. Same situation on 3 different PCs. Three different brands. Two were Win 11 PRO and the desktop was Win 10 HOME. In the future I will never use a REALTEK based product. Too many issues. Too little documentation on their website. Too few updates to their drivers.

If your son is a gamer like mine and no connection is good enough, and you hear "It's laggy!" or "It's glitchy!" all day long, you'll want to get this ASAP! Once he plugged this up to our 1GB internet speeds (it can only give you what you got), the complaining stopped. It will process what ever internet speed you are paying for up to 1GB - plug and play.

Excellent USB adapter. "Plug and play" is great with Windows 10. The one thing I disliked (minor) it's a bit bulkier than my previous PC adapter. It's a tight fit on the back of my PC with the rest of my USB ports but it did fit.

directions in very poor english which were difficult to read URL to download software driver is incorrect due to change in company name directions assumes load of driver sofware was fromCD, but one had to use internet to obtain.. see above
