This product works great!! It is a great invention
I waited until the summer ends to write this review. This product works great!! It is a great invention!! I live in Arizona when it gets over a 100 every day. with this seat cushion you will not sweat from your lower back or from your bottom :D... Something IMPORTANT than you have to put in mind, that you have to have the AC on in order to get cool air, otherwise it will blow the car temperature air and you will think it is useless. I think you know that even when you have the AC on, your lower back will be sweating specially if you have leather seats. Some other reviewers say that the cushion doesn't stay on the seat and it will slide. There is a strap that you will have to wrap it around the seat, and it will never move no matter how many times you gen in and out your car.I really love it and strongly recommend it!

Too small for an F150 seat.
Bought this to cool my back when climbing into my F150 sweaty from work.Good: It does work. Fan is powerful enough to provide a steady stream of air.Bad: Elastic is cheap and will overstreatch and fail quickly. Fan unit sits 17" from seat seam which is not long enough for my truck seat. The fans sits on the seat front and vibrates the seat. The buttons sit under my left leg which makes actuating it difficult.I could deal with the junk elastic, but the fan sitting on the set says no. If the fan hung lower it would do better at not vibrating the seat and picking up cool air from the AC. These things I cannot modify.Bottom seat portion is 17"x18" wide with 11.5" sitting width. The back is 21.5" tall. It also adds about 1" height for cushioning. Take that into account before adding it to height limited area.

No more swimming in human soup!
Its 98F with 92% humidity, no cloud cover, no wind and you've e decided against all evidence that today is a great day to run your stock (i.e. No A/C) 1973 Jeep topless around the city to enjoy the stoplights...These blow-cushions as I like to call them are your only relief from heat that would have you sitting in a pool of your own body cooling excreations. I'm not saying you won't sweat, but it won't be your back, butt or thighs steaming and sticking to the seat.I was pretty skeptical that the fan in these could really move air under human weight. Alas, shock swept over my face after the first test. Obviously this only blows ambient temperature air, but for topless vehicle drivers, you know how much difference moving air makes as you move down the street. These provide that same relief between you and the seat. If Wagan decided to produce a jacket in similar fashion, I would own one for each day of the week. The only thing that prevents a five star rating here is the way they are attached to the seat. It's not exactly structural. To be fair, it hasn't been a problem yet, but the thin elastic bands can't possibly keep these in place getting in and out without a little post-seated adjustment. Including attachment points for heavier duty straps would be nice.

Keeps my derriere in cooler air!...NOT! Sweaty in Virginia
I would have given this cool air car cushion 5 stars if it were not too short for my car seat, front to back. I have to keep a rolled up towel behind the back of the cushion at the base so that the intake fan is facing the foot controls on my drivers side. I had bought a Wagan cushion from Smarter Image a few months ago, which fit better and the fabric was more comfortable, but it stopped working and I returned it, only to find that they don't sell it anymore. That is why I bought this one on Amazon, packaged in a Wagan retail box. Must be an earlier or different model. I will contact the seller or manufacturer to see what can be done before I revise this review. We are heading into a hot August after enduring a super hot July and my hopes of sitting comfortably on my black leather drivers seat, are dashed. The product stopped working. Sent it back and got a refund. Does anyone make a good seat cooler??

So far so good!
My back hasn't sweated since buying this, so far so good, my concern is the switch; I hope it holds up to the amount of use it will get, I am drug rep and am in and out of the car often. Would be nice if it would turn off/on when the car did... It would be easy to leave it on and wear down the battery accidentally.

does a good job. there are minor annoyances as others have described, like the cushion may slide around a bit when you get in the car. this only matters if you want your spine in the middle groove between the vertical ribs on the back cushion. I also wonder if id like it more if it was a bit taller. its not that soft but ok i guess. I also taped up a couple front holes to push more air in the upright cushion. fan seems strong enough and you can hear it running with radio off. used it for 2 months now and i will remove it for the fall and winter as my seat is softer but this does cool down my back. if the car has been sitting in a steaming hot in the parking lot, it will take time for this to cool off the cushion, nothing to be done about that

Not Very Good
Product has no bottom straps to attach to lower seat, underneath to hold bottom in place. So it moves around as you get in.Also the bottom is so short it does not reach the full seat bottom . So when you sit the bottompulls back, lifting up the fan in front so its on the seat bottom facing up. Which makes it uncomfortable andvery noisy.I have purchased many fans, most only last a year, but worth it. I will try to return this one, it is horrible.

She REALLY liked the air flow
I had to return this because it had pressure points that my wife could not tolerate. The pressure points are caused, I believe, from how the cushion is folded from the factory with the sitting surface on the outside. Therefore, when putting it on the seat there is excess material at the base. She REALLY liked the air flow, so its basic function it does well.I took another star off because the bottom section is too short, so that the fan part actually is mostly on top of the seat and not hanging down in front. This is a major design failure, as the bottom section needs to be as long as the back section.
