Back saving, frustration relieving garden tool!
If you have squirrels or birds and you have any kind of fruit or nut trees, that the animals generously plant at will on your property, you need this device! We have a small pecan orchard of 13 huge almost 70 yr old trees and many, many mulberry trees that seemingly grow 3’ overnight, out of no where. Between just those two varieties of trees I am constantly pulling up saplings that the birds or squirrels have planted in my ground cover garden areas on our 2.3 acres. If you do not have experience with pecan saplings, let me share. Pecan trees are notoriously hard to pull up, because the pecan sprouts thru a split in the shell. However, the shell and nut do not disintegrate. Instead, the nut stays intact in the shell and the shell provides a huge underground anchor of sorts to stabilize the new tree. Usually a 12” pecan tree is about all I can pull up by hand, However, with this tool, I can pop a 0.5- 0.75” stem diameter pecan tree 4’ tall out of the ground and not injure my back or shoulders!! It uses a pincher grip with teeth to grasp the sappling, then fulcrum mechanics and body weight to pop the tree and roots out of the ground with ease. It’s simply Amazing!! The hardest part is lifting the tool up and moving it into position to pop out the next tree. I love this thing! I bought the middle size. It is so well made, I do not see it ever breaking or me needing to buy the next size up. I can see this awesome tool being handed down in the family or staying with the property for generations of owners to come. It’s seriously made to last.

Does not work as advertised
It breaks off the roots. Does not pull out roots cuts top at ground level leaving roots to grow again.

Serious piece of equipment
Wow is this thing built like a tank. I've had some saplings growing along my house for YEARS. in behind some bushes. I dug one up two years ago and it was way more of a job than I expected, so I just cut the rest down as low as possible in the spring the past two years and watch in frustration as they regrow. No more. I removed four of them in, no joke - 5 minutes using this tool. This is maybe one of the best examples I've ever seen of the difference it makes having the right tool for the job. There's no doubt this is pretty expensive for a manual tool, but it is absolutely a high quality, well made tool that I have no doubt will last a lifetime.
