**Q: Can i use this in conjunction with a router to replace my centurylink c3000z?**
A: Hi,

Assuming you mean ZyXel Centurylink C3000Z.  The quick answer is no.
VC-231 is an Ethernet Extender.  It does not have any routing capabilities like the router.
VC-231 must be used as a pair.  It extends the Ethernet connection via DSL technology.  The speed may vary depending on the distance.
VC-231 can connect two local area networks as long as the networks have the same IP settings.

A: No, it is for 1 piece.

**Q: If i have a router, can this be used as a home dsl modem in bridge mode?**
A: It is not a modem.  I would recommend the DCE 5204V-BM.
