Good all round guitar
Solidly built in Indonesia the Yamaha Pacifica is a nice guitar. Not too heavy and a comfortable neck. Pickups seem very loud to me especially the humbucker. Good though. 5 way switch so lot so alot of sound variety. The only neg is the tremolo which works fine but can get in the way of the volume and treble adjustment knobs if you're not too careful. From funk to punk it can pretty much do anything like most Strat style guitars. Good value. Mine did not have a strap though I always use my old Rick strap anyway.

Fret ends need smoothing. But I know how to do that.
Remarkable at this price point!๐

Great guitar. Stacks up well in comparison to my standard Fender Strat
Very happy with this guitar. I have a standard Fender (MIM) Strat and it is in the same league. Well made and finished. Stays in tune even when using the tremolo bar. The Alnico 5 pickups are good sounding, neck profile is slim and comfortable. Needed no alterations or set up, just plugged in and played. The humbucker bridge is especially sweet and has a split coil feature. Highly reccomend this one. If you wanr a good "Strat" but don't want to spend twice the amount (and no concern about what's on the headstock) this is a great choice.

Lovely to look at but poor quality control
This is a good-looking axe, no doubt, but it was IMO ruined by poor quality control. I've done many setups and know what I'm about, but I could not get this guitar to sit right. Set it up with 9's, set the action and the relief and the radius, buzzes after about the 8th fret. Checked it with a rocker and sure enough, uneven frets. I can do fretwork, but I don't think there's any reason to pay this much and still have to do that much work on it. Traded it for a Squier CV Strat and that was that.
