Can someone tell how you used this? I am unfamiliar with this product.?

It's used to help with emulsification.

Yes. Enlarge the product image and you will see the 'gluten free' seal in the lower corner (along with other seals.)

Can this be used in diy beauty products?

I’m pretty sure it would be fine

can this be used to turn gel food color into oil color for coloring chocolte?

No. Soy lecithin is an emulsifier added to chocolate to help bind the cocoa solids, sugar, and milk, so they stick to the cocoa butter. Your best route would be to use oil coloring, especially for chocolates. Soy Lecithin also is a preservative that keeps baked goods fresher for longer. I hope this helps!
