Had to stop using chlorhexidine mouthwash, to see if I was having a bad reaction to it. Since doing so, and trying UltraDex, my gums have settled down, so maybe I was reacting to chlorhexidine? It's still unclear and after attempting to research which mouthwashes have chlorhexidine or not, I think the ambiguity in the guidance provided by a lot of these health product brands is CRIMINAL - regardless, UltraDex has been fine so far and leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh - it's absolutely flavourless, which I like a lot... And there is no tingling/burning sensation that you get with a lot of these mint flavoured/chlorhexidine mouthwashes.

I was quiet skeptical when it came to buying my first bottle of Ultradex. How can this - which tastes no different to water - be one of the best mouthwashes on the market? I had previously been using mouthwashes from all sorts of competitors including Listerine, Sensodyne and Colgate but they all had one thing in common - your mouth would feel amazingly fresh immediately after using it but the 'bad breath' would kick in some time after a meal.Being a bestseller, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I decided to test out Ultradex when its price reached the lower end of the spectrum. The mouthwash arrived neatly packaged and was packed with a sachet containing mint flavoured liquid if you wanted to add some taste to the mouthwash. Ultradex is to be taken twice a day - once in the morning and before going to bed (generally after brushing). To prepare the recommended amount which you need to rinse with: fill ONLY the outer ring of the cap to just below the top - try not to get any liquid in the inner circle, and rinse away for 30 seconds.To my surprise, Ultradex did far more than I bargained for. Yes, I did notice whitening of my teeth although this was very subtle. However, I did not expect it to inhibit bad breath overnight so that I wake up with neutral breath, on top of giving me odourless breath throughout the day! That was when I realised what sets Ultradex apart from the rest - it doesn't just fight bad breath, it also destroys its cause i.e. the anaerobic oral bacteria and the smelly volatile sulphur compounds they produce. I first used Ultradex over a year ago and I haven't bought another brand since. Sometimes I use the mint sachet for flavouring, other times I don't, but I have barely noticed a difference in the mouthwash's effectiveness. This is really a product which you need to try to believe. From being a skeptic, I don't think I'll ever use another mouthwash again.

Best mouthwash I've tried.

I first heard about this mouth rinse after following the advice (to some extent) of a well known dentist/Doctor Ellie on YouTube. I bought it mainly to neutralise food acids before brushing, to stop the erosion and thinning of my tooth enamel; particularly after menopause when I suffered the onset of sudden decay in several teeth! So far it seems to have done the trick because my teeth are finally looking whiter and stronger with new enamel growth and tooth decay has been halted.I consistently reorder and wouldn’t buy anything else for such effectiveness for oral health. After trying the mint flavoured one initially and experiencing some mouth burning, I decided I prefer this unflavoured version without the menthol burn. It does have a very slight medicated hint to it and is just as effective as the mint one AND it’s certainly not water, like one silly reviewer concluded.As for freshening breath? I’ve not experienced any typical ‘morning breath’ since using this twice a day and the freshness lasts for hours. My only complaint is it lacks a measuring cup in the lid and I had to borrow a cup from another mouthwash I use after brushing. (I find it best to use two mouth rinses for maximum tooth protection and oral health). In case you’re wondering what else I use, the mild mint flavour mouthwash from The Breath Co. also neutralises food acids and starves bad bacteria. It also refreshes without any burning sensation because it’s the only mouthwash I know that is actually PH balanced to your saliva! This too is very effective and I top it all with a super soft massaging brush from GuruNanda and Biomed natural toothpaste. My teeth and gums have never been so healthy and I’m grateful to have discovered these products in later life. 🦷 💫

Been using this mouthwash for years on an Amazon subscription. In terms of the product itself, it's excellent. No overpowering minty flavour to make you think your breath is fresher than it is. It does it's job, not by masking a smell but by eliminating the compounds in your mouth that cause bad, and it does it effectively.Unfortunately, in the last few months, they decided to update the packaging. They've clearly gone for a more eco friendly use of plastic but, what was previously a very sturdy bottle with a decent screw cap, enough so that you could confidently leave the bottle on its side in a draw, the new bottle it flimsy and if you try to tighten the cap, it doesn't take much to break it.Also, where previously, they had a small sachet of mint flavouring to make the flavour a little more pleasant (not to mask your bad breath), they're no longer including that. Whilst the product is no doubt still just as effective, it now tastes mildly unpleasant - and lets face it, we all like the flavour of minty fresh breath :)Anyway, to sum it up: A great product with a terrible packaging update.

I have no hesitation in stating that this is absolutely the best mouthwash on the market. One of its major advantages is that you have the option of adding a mint flavour if you want to. As mint is one of the things that makes my girlfriend literally gag and since one of the reasons for wanting to use a product such as this is to attract rather than actively repel her, this is a distinct advantage. One of the consequence of using Ultradex without flavouring is that it has virtually no taste and this is quite disconcerting when you use it for the first time; it doesn't really feel like it's working. However once you've swished and gargled you are left with a clean feeling that is difficult to describe. It's like your mouth is empty of any taste... and this feeling lasts a long time.Obviously you still need to brush your teeth and floss everyday as well, but if you do this and then use Ultradex I can honestly say that, in my experience, bad breath will be banished.At around £2.00 cheaper than the supermarkets this is an essential purchase from Amazon.

Uso este producto desde hace ya unos años - desde que el dentista se lo recomendo a mi madre cuando ella tenia una infecction en la boca. Es el mejor enjuage bucal que he utilizado. Deja la boca limpia y va blanqueando los dientes con el uso. Manitiene un aliento fresco. Lo recomiendo

Arrived today . Have not used it yet I wanted to add the Mint but the sachet was not included in the box not sure if I will use it now as I like the mint flavour

Ich habe die Mundspülung wie angegeben pünktlich erhalten.Nach nun ein paar Tagen der Benutzung dieser Mundspülung, bin ich überaus zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Der Geschmack ist neutral, falls man es minziger möchte liegt ein Päckchen dabei um es zu mischen. Ich nutze es Pur.Der Effekt ob die Zähne weißer werden, kann ich noch nicht beurteilen. Deswegen habe ich es mir aber nicht bestellt. Es ging mir mehr um den unangenehmen Geruch im Mund, der sich über den Tag hinweg bilden kann, je nach dem was man isst. Diesem wirkt die Mundspülung sehr gut entgegen und man hat ein super Gefühl im Mund.Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung!!!

All'inizio è stato un po' strano, un collutorio quasi completamente insapore, abituati come siamo ai vari collutori da supermercato o farmacia gusto menta. E sono stata incerta se riversare all'interno la bustina contenuta nella scatola, per insaporirlo un po'. Ma già dopo le prime volte devo dire che ho cominciato ad apprezzarlo. Intanto perché funziona benissimo e questo lo si capisce dal fatto che non c'è nessuna copertura alla menta che possa mascherare eventuali problemucci di alito pesante, cosa che secondo me i collutori commerciali fanno: coprono odori con altri odori. Non eliminano il problema.E per chi scrive che all'interno c'è solo acqua: provate ad ingoiarlo e capirete che così non è ;)
