302 stainless steel balls meet requirements for an unhardened (Rockwell C 25-39) ball with excellent toughness and resistance to corrosion and are widely used in valves and related equipment. Stainless steel type 302 balls are capable of resisting corrosion by such agents as oxidizing solutions, most organic chemicals, food stuffs and sterilizing solutions and are moderately resistant to sulfuric acids. 302 shows a weak attraction to magnetism and is nonmagnetic only when annealed. Applications include aerosol, sprayers, finger pumps mechanisms, milk machine blenders, food processing equipment and medical applications.
