I needed a milled/polished rice for an attempt at DIY homebrew Sake. Zero bugs, hulls or bran, and really clean, And it worked! What do I know? Not much! But, it tastes like perfectly fine Sake. I don't think it'll win awards, but drinking and cooking with it... it's fine. And I have the pleasure of saying "I made that!" (Or, I guess the yeast did...) And the leftover rice I didn't use in the Sake, it's got a good texture, nicely sticky but not mushy, cooks easy, tastes good, and is pretty easy to finish with 1.75 water to rice by volume in a dedicated rice cooker or on the stove. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low for 20 minutes. If you struggle with rice, the kind you get matters A LOT. So try this.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My ancient Korean aunt told me this was one of the few brands of rice available in the US the deserve the dignity of the name ‘rice.’ It’s luscious, flavorful stuff, that is so good it could a meal in itself. Is it slightly more expensive? Sure, but it’s worth it. The only rice I will serve my family.
