easy install-fixed our washer!
After my husband did some investigating, he received the error message regarding faulty lid lock, and so he ordered this part. We received it next day, so that was great! Also, after the install, my husband was elated to see this solved the issue and the washer is now working great! So glad we were able to replace this part and not have to get a new washing machine. My husband does not know a lot about this kind of thing, so he was also very happy he was able to fix it on his own.

Washer lid opened to easy
I knew when my washer lid open too easy the sensor lock was bad..I thought I can fix it and avoid a hefty repair bill..found the model number, keyed it in and found it right away..arrived the next day..popped the old one out and snapped in the new sensor..ATTENTION: it didn't work and I thought OMG!!..my friend told me to go around and RESET all my GFI's as when I removed the old part and put in the new one it tripped one of the GFI's..that fixed the problem..extremely happy with the price and it was a piece of cake to install.

Doesn't work.
After diagnosing the issue with my washer was a faulty lid locking mechanism, I found this replacement part. The self diagnostic test in reports that this new switch is recognized by the system, however it still fails to lock the lid, and will fail to spin. Error code 26.You can't even get this part from GE anymore. Just throw your washer away and don't even buy a GE product again.To add insult to injury the driver got stuck in my driveway delivering the fault part, I had to get them unstuck when then got my truck stuck. Had to use my 2nd truck to get my truck out and get the driver unstuck for a 2ND TIME.I'm done with amazon. Anyone want this $99 gift card balance?
