These 4" x 4" size sterile burn dressings contain an ample amount of cooling gel which absorbs the heat from burn wounds upon contact, reduces pain, and acts to protect the wound area from contamination. Made in Düsseldorf Germany, the dressings can be used on all types of 1st and 2nd degree burns such as sunburn, scalds, open flame, chemical or electrical sources. The burn dressings provide immediate relief by cooling and dissipating the heat from the injury which stops the burn process from causing more damage, and by keeping the injury moist the dressing promotes quicker healing as well. These burn dressings are non-adherent, so you need to use a secondary dressing such as gauze or a transparent film dressing to secure them in place. These dressings should not be used on full thickness burns or ones with a large amount of fluid drainage since the hydrogel wouldn't be able to absorb a lot of fluids. These burn dressings are a valuable part of my home first aid kit, and I also keep some in our camping kit. Highly recommend!

I haven't burned myself yet but I think these will come in handy when I do. They come individually packaged, just tear it open, put on burn. Claims on package say it takes the heat out and provides relief. These will be nice to.habe around.

This brand gets criticized for being Chinese and not having all the western certifications. I like that they make it possible to build a trauma kit at an affordable cost. I’ve opened their gauze and there is now difference to the better brands. I haven’t used these yet, but they feel like they are full of a soothing liquid. I did avoid their chest seals because the likely hood of the adhesive being reliable is not great and impossible to know until you need it. But this product is very simple and highly likely to work. Maybe the more expensive ones are more of a gel. But realistically, these are never going to get used. It’s better to have and not need than need and not have. If I do need them, I will be glad to have even the cheap ones.

4 out of 5 of my packets were in good condition, the 5th one arrived torn open, with burn gel covering the inside of the bag and the rest of the packets.
