Love It!!!
Bought this stainless steel griddle pan for myself. Nice and big, I make french toast on it. I can fit 4 big size pieces of bread on it to cook at the same time. All the food cooks evenly on it. Cleans up great with just your sponge or a brillo pad. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing!
I recently converted to cast iron, and I love it, but it is heavy and in this case I wanted something I could make grilled cheese, quesadillas, french toast etc. I decided to try out stainless steel again, as I used it years ago as a cook in New York. The pan is amazingly beautiful, thick stainless all the way to the nice smooth edges, and larger than I expected. It fits the wider bread I use easily, four slices at a time. I seasoned it by heating it on med-high heat, then spread oil on it and cooked until it smoked. I wiped it off after it cooled, and then made french toast. NO STICKING at all. I also made scrambled eggs with green chile, and no sticking there either. The only negatives: The handle is long. I have a standard sized stove, and the handle is long enough that it blocks some counter top area as I have to turn it sideways. I am guessing it is long to give more leverage, making it easy to move and carry. Also, the handle is a little on the narrow side, just a personal preference as it does not impair my using it, even with arthritic hands. After seasoning, the trick is to pre-heat the pan, lightly oil it and then add your food. I have a smaller skillet that I seasoned just like cast iron, with high heat and repeatedly cooking the oil to smoke point, and it does not stick unless I forget and do not heat it first. I am sure this is the same. Later I cooked ham on it, and of course it did not stick but it did leave behind the dark salty residue that burns, and that will make the next meal stick. It must be free of rough burnt on debris for it not to stick. I am very happy with the quality of this pan. I hope to buy a saute pan soon, and get rid of the last of my teflon, which sticks despite being teflon. I even got the huge gorgeous one at Costco for $160 and within a year it stuck too. Teflon is just bad.

Handle stays cool- its wonderful
The handle is sturdy and stays cool during use on the stovetop. It’s flat and not concaved or uneven like other reviewers mentioned, it’s VERY thick and therefore heavy (which I like). If you pre-heat a stainless pain properly, it will allow your food to be non-stick. I basically know my food is done on one side because it will be easy to lift/flip it. I don’t use anything that could scratch my pans so I’m not able to speak on scratch resistance but I know that the bottoms of stainless pains can be ruined from sliding them on stovetops versus sitting them down. Something to keep in mind! There’s no warping for me! I have had that happen when I’ve used a crappier and thinner stainless steel. Not this pan. It’s beautifully made and if you take care of it, it’ll last!

Better than eating silverstone!
I have gone through several non-stick griddle pans thoughought the years. I normally prefer cookware that is not coated in silverstone because the story is always the same. Because of the coating, the pans aren't meant to get "too hot", which is absurd for cookware. Regardless of the temperature, the coating wears off after repeated use. There is only one place that this coating could be going - into my food! Silverstone is not meant to be eaten so I worry about the effect this might have on my family's health. This item was the only griddle pan that I could find that did not have the nonstick coating. It was not very expensive so I was worried that the pan would be flimsy. That is not the case. The pan is quite heavy, and appears to be well made. It seems to distribute heat well enough. I have only used it once so far and my food did not stick so I don't know what the coating on other pans is even for. I'm quite shocked that amazon does not offer any other choices, but this one seems to get the job done. My old silverstone griddle is in the garbage where it belongs.

Very Solid, Heavy Stainless Steel
I bought this to replace my ceramic griddle which had chemical offgassing at high temperatures. When I was browning breaded eggplant the ceramic chemicals had literally burned my eyes and gagged me. It was really worrisome when the gasses burned my eyes! How many chemicals had we been ingesting from cooking on ceramic all these years? We threw away all of our ceramic skillets into the garbage can. So I am changing to good ol' stainless steel that has no coating and no dangerous chemicals. I turned my burner on HIGH and browned my potatoes with NO chemical gasses. This new griddle is very heavy and seems to be good quality... Solid and heavy weight so its not going to warp or bend. However, they should make the handle curved and ergonomic. The handle is too straight for comfort. I prefer erogonomic handles. So I rated this griddle a "4" out of "5." The important thing is that I can now cook at high temperatures with no chemical offgassing.

I have been getting rid of my pans with non stick coating and replacing them with stainless. This griddle works perfectly for grilled sandwiches and pancakes, etc. It is well made and a great size for what I want to cook. I'm sure it will become one of my favourite pans! Update - sadly this pan does not work on my new induction stove :(

this unit is as sturdy as hell, you could weld this to the side of the Titanic and it would hold out the water. a little effort to clean after use but well worth the results. great for pancakes.
