The Clash Hits Back

at last the way nature intended
just got this today to hear the remasters it does sound great but more important is the track listing and the way its sequenced.this being a live set list of studio versions makes perfect sense. story of the clash had all the right songs but compiled them in terrible order and the essential clash with its chronological order was boring and predictable.so for once we have 24 tracks the way the clash themselves banged them out at the Brixton fairdeal show in 82 .the 8 tracks added on at the end dont sound out of place either.what we get is all the singles bar remote control ,no loss, plus all the key album tracks it goes perfect with all the other clash albums and also as a stand alone best of .so ditch all they old compilations and fire this on the i pod and your good to go .

Generally better sound quality than previous collection
Most of the tracks on this which are also on the earlier double-cd (The Story Of The Clash Volume 1 (2004)) definitely sound much better (livelier, better dynamic and frequency range) on this collection. Some of them are vast improvements and really bring the music to life, so for me it's worth the money for the improved sound quality. The music. of course, is brilliant and really doesn't need any further words of praise from me - the Clash are the Clash and if you're reading this review you probably already like them!

The Clash Hits Back, Excellent
I loved this album, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the group. In fact I had forgotten they had do much material. Good value for money too with it containing so much material. I would thoroughly recommend this album.

Play It Loud!
A great album if you don't already own anything by The Clash (plenty of gems not found here). All the hits are here though, and this album has not left my record player since it arrived! My copy of The Clash Hits Back vinyl sounds great, love the 180 gram pressing and the packaging is high quality.

Decent compilation for the uninitiated (like me).
The tracks are for the most part excellent; the track order said to reflect Joe Strummer's live order. A lot of music for the money, a sturdy outer sleeve and printed inner sleeves make it a worthwhile purchase. I don't know how impressed the die hard Clash fans will be, but for the casual Clasher this a pretty decent 3-LP compilation with more than acceptable audio.

This cd was brought for a friend of mine who liked this cd very much!!. A great collection of classic clash tracks/singles on two cds that have been digitally remastered. This is probably one of the best collections of clash tracks.Recommended

Wow! Sounds great on vinyl!!
Added vinyl to my CD version, well worth the money. Sounds quality is fab.The artwork works better on the vinyl set - ticket facsimile visible for example!!Based on a Brixton 1982 setlist with 8 extra great tracks it’s a great listen. Timeless classics.
