yeah it is cheap but just fine
Just fine for wood turners. no complaints

Not fancy but functional.
This is perfect for taking measurements that are very accurate down to 1/16" of an inch. It has measurements even smaller than that but that's not what I'm looking for from this gague. If I am looking for accurate measurements finer than that I will get my digital version out for that. I use a metal ruler when needed or perhaps a tape measure? It's super simple and easy to use. Top quality and value. It's not the easiest thing to read,but that's as more about my eyes than the caliper itself.

Precision analogue instrument
Precision instrument. Well marked. Sturdy material. I like the fact that it is not digital. No power to turn on and no battery to run out. Also I don’t have to convert decimals to fractions, which is what I’m used to in woodworking.

Broken case
Received with a broken case. A piece of the case was missing and was not in the shipping package. Therefore, it was shipped broken. And not broken during shipment. The caliber inch markings are very small and hard to read. The centimeter markings are easier to read.

A very good too for the price
I have not checked its measurements using gauge blocks, but the caliper is easy and fast to read while being lighter and more durable than a unit with a dial, and never needs batters like an electronic unit. The fit and finish are good, but the action is just a little bit gritty. This does not interfere with usability. The markings are engraved, as they should be.

Precise measurement for a fractional price. I wasn't able to find this combination for a better price. This came in clutch when required. Would recommend 👌

Good beater calipers
Good cheap beater calipers. They are relatively accurate but the markings are a bit small and hard to read. A little crunchy feeling out of the box but they were fine after a cleaning and oiling.
