Beautiful Bronze!
Too large for my bathroom, but beautiful and the quality is fantastic!

High quality, excellent value for the money
This well-designed towel rack is a great investment. In addition to being solid and sturdy, it is also very attractive. The S-design makes excellent use for hanging and drying with minimal space. The height is high enough to hang large damp bath towels without tipping over the rack, as the base is very solid. When we have multiple guests (like a family of 4), the rack is great as an extra, and sits out of the way at the end of the hallway. This is a quality product that is very functional without taking up a lot of space.

Heavy base, supports very large towels
We have ginormous oversized towels that were just too much weight for some sort of stick on wall towel bar, and didn't have good options to mount a conventional one. This one has the height to keep the towels off the ground, and holds one or two without any issues or leaning

Efficient and beautiful
We moved into a home with no towel racks in three bathrooms. I had already purchased another standing towel rack from ROSS that was much too short. Returned it. Then I was ready to order one online from Bed/Bath that was very expensive. After I read the reviews for the Gatco, I ordered one in Satin Nickel. It is solid, well-finished, and plenty tall enough for our generous towels. After a few days, I ordered three more! Two are standing in one bathroom that has all-tiled walls and no towel racks. They take up less room than you would imagine. Another is in a large bathroom where there is one decorative towel rack far from the shower. The last one, in bronze, will be in the guest bedroom, matching that furniture, so that guests do not have to mix their towels with others in the bathroom they will be using. The finish on the three Satin Nickels are great. I hestitated about the Chrome after reading one poor review about it. Am still waiting to see the Bronze finish. Solid, tall and priced right! I could not find them in my home centers that sold other Gatco products.

Great solution when you don't want to drill holes into your walls, doesn't take up a lot of space and is attractive
I'm ordering my third! Three+ years ago ordered this towel rack in bronze and also in chrome for two different bathrooms. The bronze towel holder is still going strong after three years of daily use, but the chrome towel rack which gets occasional mainly weekend use recently failed. The base and top of the rack screw together and somehow the connection became stripped and the top would no longer stay upright. The chrome holder never seemed to screw together nice and tightly and has always been a bit wobbly from day one, unlike the bronze towel holder. I'm not sure if the chrome one was defective but I'll soon find out since I'm ordering another chrome to replace it. I like this towel rack because the base is heavy and sturdy and can't be knocked over and easily holds two bath towels (we actually squeeze three towels on ours but admittedly that is a bit crowded).

This didn't last 4 months but read how I got a refund if you bought it and missed the return window
Update: This is still not worth buying but if you did already...I noticed that Gatco has a 1 year warranty on defective products so livechatted with Amazon Customer Service about my predicament and they are letting me return this for free and the matching hand towel rack I bought. They offered a full refund or a replacement - obviously I went with the full refund. I also let them know about the 1 star reviews for this product since we are all experiencing the same exact issue. I buy from Amazon weekly as do you, and will probably buy my replacement on here as well. Hope you get your refunds too. Background:I bought this on March 19th and have had it for 4 months. Now the top part of it teeters back and forth like a bobblehead and it doesn't seem to screw in all the way. I can see the nut underneath. I think it was a gradual process because it just started bothering me this week but I did find myself turning it and screwing it in time after time because it would rotate when it should be stationery. Do you remember the weebles toys? This weebles and wobbles just like that but not in a good way.I just noticed the return policy is only for one month so I am out of luck and posting this review for those of you considering it. For a $60 towel rack, I'd expect it to last longer than 4 months. There are only two of us that use this rack and have only put 2 bath towels on it (normal , not super plush or heavy). With one towel on each side, it has always been equally weighted. I really am perplexed at what went wrong - it must be a bum product or I got a bum version of it.I also bought the Gatco 1547 Counter Top S towel holder with it (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XP8W84/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1) which was $27 at the time (now retailing for $24). It is already dented from my niece dropping it so one side is smashed in.For $87, I wouldn't have bought this set again but I love the look of the standing towel rack for our newly remodeled 1940's style bathroom and had waited until we "lived" with the bathroom for 2 months to choose what I thought were the perfect pieces. I liked not having to drill holes above our lovely tiled walls and the hotel feel of the standing rack.I'm really bummed as it looked really nice (and the satin nickel is pretty and it hasn't rusted or deteriorated in that sense) but I wanted to share my personal experience.

Sturdy and Attractive
We are very happy with this purchase which replaced a similar product we used for years. This one is a different brand and so mu h better! It should last a long time. We hang 2 bath towels abd 2 washcloths on it.
