Explore Texas: A Nature Travel Guide (Myrna and David K. Langford Books on Working Lands)

Heard about this book while listening to Texas Public Radio. Much of the photography in the book is stunning. Wish there was more coverage of one of my favorite subjects (private ranches with photography blinds). Two of my favorite ranches for photography were nowhere to be found within the book. Meanwhile some places that are frankly kind of mediocre made the cut.Good read. Good idea starter. Had the potential to be outstanding.

I was so impressed by the amazing variety of beautiful areas Texas has to offer. Extremely well researched and documented plus all the absolutely beautiful photos. I highly recommend this book to all nature lovers whether they plan to explore Texas or not. I loved it so much I have given it to some of my nature loving friends and they love it too. Congratulations to Mary and Jeff Parker for a beautifully well done book. Hope to see more from them.

Mary and Jeff have put together a wonderful guide to celebrate and experience Texas nature. The photography is outstanding and the text offers a great guide to discovering things that would be easily overlooked. It is organized geographically so a great help in planning a trip.

So glad I picked up this book! As a mom of 3 trying to get our kids outdoors, this is a great book to make that happen. Very detailed with helpful tips to travel. Can't wait to start checking off places to visit!!

There may be others that exist but this is the quintessential tripadvisor for Texas naturalists or amateur hikers like myself. It's the go to for our excursions for our tour group. Information par excellence and wonderful photos

Great recommendations, very good description of what there is to see, including best timing etc. And not to forget about the beautiful pictures.
