A DEMON ENFORCER, A KIDNAPPED PRINCESS, AND A PLAN OF REBIRTH - ALL IN THE LATEST ISSUE
The latest entry in the SAVAGE REALMS MONTHLY line of new Sword & Sorcery tales and adventures continues to build on the prior issues as the stories are once more fun and exciting for readers new and old. The "Monthly" has managed to keep its format of three stories of varying lengths and now has added some art and graphics to the book by introducing each story with (at present) a standard piece as part of the title and author introduction. SRM has taken the opportunity to present full page art that represents alternate covers AND some great advertising that will be of interest to new readers. In this issue:A CONSIGNMENT FROM BYBLOS by B. Harlan Crawford - An attack of opportunity upon a merchant's caravan demands the attention of its demon guardian.THE DARK PRIESTDOM by David A. Riley - A wandering storyteller's good fortune reveals itself to have been part of a game of thrones from the most ancient of empires.TERROR BEYOND THE FJORD by Jeff Shelnutt - A monstrous attack at sea casts two companions ashore amidst a horrifying ritual of rebirth. As always, the stories are fun and entertaining, and at 72 pages, can be consumed in a casual evening's read or a brief journey to strange and savage lands before retiring to a night of dreams and fantasies of your own.If there is one slight failing to the ongoing SRM effort is that the edits for spelling, formatting, punctuation, and missing words seem to be slightly lacking as there are moments, not many to be sure, that a good copy editor would have quickly caught and fixed. Having said that, it doesn't terribly detract from the stories themselves, though it can be a moment of "hmmm..."As always, I love the publication and will continue to buy each and every issue as they are released.

Near perfect. No sorcery required.
Savage Realms Monthly consistently brings new Sword And Sorcery tale to the world. This issue is no different. Adventure, magic, evil and daring escapades , sometimes with a healthy dose of humor can found in these pages.

Another S&S Success!
Crawford shares a story with two heroines worthy of further reads. Riley tells of Welgar's sad curse and introduces a grand storyteller. Shelnutt brings a favorite duo to life amidst lots of death - loads of fun sorcery and fatal swords.

DRM
The stories were all right but any book with a DRM doesn't deserve even 1 star. There is NO sense buying this book because you can't convert it or do anything with it because of the DRM! It is forever trapped in the Kindle Reader. You might just as well "Read It For Free" and let the publisher make less money. Such a shame because the series was going good.

Adventure a plenty!
The March 2023 issue marks the nineteenth issue of Savage Realms. In this newest issue we find three returning authors. B. Harlan Crawford's A Consignment from Byblos concerns his barbaric heroine Sigyn. The Dark Priestdom by David A. Riley returns to the s&s world he has created in which several of his reoccurring characters reside. And finally, Terror Beyond the Fjord by Jeff Shelnutt features the duo Hanaa and Ulfgar and their continued shenanigans.A Consignment from Byblos by B. Harlan CrawfordI've been a fan of Crawford's Sigyn character since I stumbled across the two collections, he self-published on Amazon. Since then, she has appeared in numerous publications. This world Crawford has created is a mix of historical and Hyborian locations¬–an intriguing sandbox. This makes Crawford's third appearance in Savage Realms.A caravan is beset by raiders. The cargo? A gift between sorcerers. The penalty of not delivering this precious cargo? Horrifying death by a demon. The Dark Priestdom by David A. RileyDavid A. Riley is a fan, author, and editor. This marks the second appearance of Riley in Savage Realms. A storyteller arrives in the city destitute with no prospects until a shifty stranger offers to help change his fortunes. Everything has a price. When his benefactor returns for payment, the storyteller finds himself wanted by the authorities for abduction of a princess. A northern mercenary sees great potential in assisting the storyteller in clearing his name and recovering the princess. The storyteller will live a greater adventure than any story he has ever told.Terror Beyond the Fjord by Jeff ShelnuttThis is also the second appearance of Jeff Shelnutt in Savage Realms. Hanaa and Ulfgar are at it again. They just want to recover the treasure and get paid. Although they find themselves prisoners on a ship that is menaced by a tentacled monster. On land a lich thing is sacrificing the crew of the ship. Throughout the many dangers both adventurers trade quips and insults.
