Would this be okay using without shoes or would metal hurt feet

I would not recommend this device to be use without shoes. It will be to uncomfortable in my opinion, and probably unsafe.

How does this product compare with the Sorinex glider?

It a good but cheaper alternative. Therefore the product is not such a quality as the sorinex.

what's the difference between this and the Sorinex ham roller??

I believe it’s the same. Sorinex is just a more expensive version. As a personal trainer, I like this one and it works well with myself and my clients.

Is it uncomfortable to use barefoot?

I do not find it uncomfortable but that will be a personal preference
