Mediocre Recipes Poorly Arranged
IF you can find a recipe you're looking for, it's likely not going to stand up to your expectations. I've have other recipe books where the writer has attempted to duplicate menu items from places like Outback, Burger King - lots of chain restaurants. They've been pretty good and the recipes always worked well enough that if I didn't "fool" my guests into thinking I'd had it catered, they still loved the food. Drawings showing how to put the food together and some fun commentary about the recipe.THIS BOOK HAS NONE OF THAT. I'd actually purchased it intending to give it as a Christmas gift - but it was so awful looking that I couldn't. I kept it and to make the best of it, I tried about a dozen of the recipes. I wish I hadn't. Not only are they not "Disney", they're not good. They won't kill you and they're better than the liver your mom put in front of you as a kid - but they're not good either. To make matters worse, we wanted to try to make a couple of things we thought should be in the book (having just returned from a week at Disneyworld, we'd tried a lot of different foods). I don't know how these recipes are arranged - maybe how they fit on the page? Or as they were developed?I know the writer must have put a lot of work into this book but before selling any more of them, how about re-testing on your Disney-loving friends and improving them, taking some pictures of them (or better, having professional pictures taken of them), and re-order into some consistent order (by "Land" - Fantasy, Tomorrow, etc; by meal - breakfast, lunch, snack, beverage, etc; or some other way that makes sense to those of us who might buy it). Until that is done, I have to say PASS - there are a few actual Disney recipe books out there - find THEM.

Disney would be disappointed...
I bought this because, we are Disney fanatics here in this house. And with COVID-19, why not bring Disney here! Well, for starters the book was delayed 3 days, no biggie. When it finally arrived and I opened the package, the book was bent. Didn't care much, but upon opening the book and flipping through the pages, it looked more like a coloring book; something I could have printed from the internet. I closed the book, and the cover, well you should never judge a book by the cover, but in this case you can. It looked as if someone had made it themselves; the pictures were pixilated and blurry, obviously amateur. Also, there is a small table of contents, no color, no pizazz, no Disney. This really turned me off from even wanting to try the recipes. Thanks for the effort, but no thanks.

NO PICTURES!
How very disappointing to give this book to my daughter for Christmas only to discover that there are NO PICTURES of items in the entire book. The book is COMPLETELY black and white....no color photos. The whole point of Disney food is the way it LOOKS. How are we to know that we want to make something if we are flying blind. Had I seen this book in the bookstore, I would have never bought it.

Exact same page for page as other book!
Both were great but exactly the same page for page...should not be suggested as a bundled purchase!

High hopes, but ...
I bought this book because I collect Disney recipes and was hoping to get the best of the latest crop. I appreciate the larger format as it is MUCH easier to read, but as I've gone through the book it is apparent that an editor was sorely lacking. The index is repeated both in the front and in the back. Not necessary. What is necessary is an index of the contents with page numbers so the recipe can be found. Telling the reader that it is a certain section just doesn't cut it. Wastes time. There is a disconcerting lack of consistency in the way recipes are presented. Some have incomplete instructions - hoping the reader has the wits or experience to know what to do and which pot or pan to use. I pity the new cook who starts in on a project and gets stuck because information just isn't on the page...or in the book.I had high hopes, but will have to see just how usable the book really is. If you have experience in the kitchen and are willing to fly by the seat of your pants, this might be what you are looking for.

Junk
This cookbook is a joke. I don't know why I didn't read the reviews first. For example, chocolate peanut butter cake. Doesn't tell you how many servings, doesn't tell you what size pans to bake it in, does not tell you what to set the oven at or for how long to bake it for and doesn't tell you how to put the cake, the filling and the streusel altogether at the end. This is just not in one recipe this is consistent throughout the book. Sometimes they'll tell you how many servings it makes sometimes they won't, sometimes it'll tell you how to put the dish together and sometimes it won't. I have no idea how a cookbook like this can even be made. Why would you not tell somebody what to bake it at what size pans to use and how to put it together. What kind of moron did this cookbook? If I would not have thrown out my box I would return it. Don't waste your money.

I bought for my sister who's kids love Disney World and the food there
Very big book with lots and lots of recipes! I bought for my sister who's kids love Disney World and the food there. One could easily get recipes off Pinterest but her daughter loves reading and holding a book in the kitchen while cooking with her mom. They both loved it and my mother bought one the same night for my brother's children once she saw how much my niece and sister loved it. Great gift for Disney lovers or kids wanting to be involved. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a lot of text and pages for me. Could overwhelm most and just go to Pinterest instead of holding such a heavy book while trying to cook.

Editor Please!
First of all, it shows what appears to be a Dole Whip on the cover, but if it's in the book I can't find it anywhere.I realize this book is "unofficial" but I didn't expect it to be so obvious about itl: there is tons of Disney art, but much of it is blurry as if badly copied, and some is obviously blatantly ripped off fan art.The instructions are not very clear, so if you already know what you are doing it might be ok but the steps are out of order so we got stuck halfway on a couple of recipes. The index is hard to read: no page numbers.Positives: there is a large variety, and yes the Grey Stuff WAS delicious!

Don’t waste your money
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Not even worth a star, the photos on the cover are from google, no pictures to show what you’re even attempting to make, pictures inside are from colouring pages. Then index in the back doesn’t even show the pages to find the recipe, waste of time and money.
