Do not confuse it with the Keyestudio Smart Home Kit for Arduino
Nice device to experience some embedded electronics programming. Note that if you look for online documentation, you need to follow the "Keyestudio IoT Smart Home Kit for ESP32" online wiki (especially the "ESP-32 Dev Module" setup) and not confuse it with the Keyestudio Smart Home Kit for Arduino wiki like I did.

Fantastic and fun smart home/python learning aid.
So I found this useful for a first foray in to learning to write some python code to control and read various sensors that you might like to have in a smart home setup. The kit is easy to build, the parts are well produced. The instructions were not bad but could have been a little clearer in places and I found that there were seemingly multiple versions in different places when searching for the right instructions. Just pay attention to the exact kit name and you should be fine. The code samples give you enough to see how each sensor etc. works and how to address them in python but doesn't go much further than that. This should not stop you from producing more elaborate configurations, if you are still learning to code a quick search on the internet with your favourite AI, stating the controller you are using (ESP32) the sensor or sensors you want to control and what you want to do, will help with coming up with the code you need. As an example it was relatively simple to a create a burglar alarm with siren, flashing lights, motion detection, automatic door/window closing/locking with pin code to silence/reset/arm the alarm with what is contained in this kit. All in all I found that this is a great learning tool, it didn't need to be in the shape of a house, but it's a nice touch and looks good. don't stop at the included code, but use it as a starting point and you can produce all sorts. I dropped one star as one of the supplied servos was not working, which was disappointing for the price of the kit (but I didn't attempt to follow this up with anyone either).

If you want to learn about arduino or have a nice time with your kids, look for something else.
***Edit after 3 days use*** - The board has failed after 3 days, it no longer works, very poor quality indeed. Component quality is reasonable, would be great value for money if it worked. I bought this to learn about arduino and basic coding etc. The paperwork is utterly useless, it honestly looks like it was thrown together by someone who couldn't care less and that is being very polite about it. I absolutely would not recommend this product to anyone who wants to actually use it for what it is meant for. I was going to list a whole load of errors with the sketches, the instructions, the build, but honestly there's no point, this is yet another example of couldn't care less cheap chinese crap, again. You'd thing I'd know better by now.

Good value, support not so good
I liked the idea of getting a practical demo to help teach grandchildren. The problem was the support. I sent detailed information of the issues, and they replied but had not properly read what it submitted.

Surprisingly Good Quality
Feels and looks solid. Instructions could be a little better but with some careful reading can work it out.

This was a complete waste of time. There was no manual. We didn’t know which model it was. The model mentioned in the instructions is 5009 is completely different. Used ChatGPT to figure out that this is ks0085 only to realize that the sensors don’t fit on the boards of the house
