Bought this for a family member who is adamant his mental health has nothing to do with alcoholism. It was a pricey gamble but has actually made a huge difference to the way he thinks and has really helped! 100% worth the money, thank you.

Must read for patients and families
This book is clear, concise, and to the point. Every chapter is well written with necessary background and takes you directly to the skills needed. Very practical and covers many topics without messy details. Good for patients who are motivated to improve their sobriety on their own as well as for loved ones who support them.

An Essential Tool for Addiction Recovery
The Addiction Recovery Skills Workbook is a well-rounded and practical guide for anyone on the journey to overcoming addictive behaviors. By blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques, this workbook offers an evidence-based approach that is both empowering and accessible. The exercises and worksheets are thoughtfully designed to help readers identify triggers, reframe negative thought patterns, and build healthier coping mechanisms. What I appreciate most is the workbook’s emphasis on mindfulness—helping individuals cultivate present-moment awareness to reduce impulsivity and emotional reactivity. The structure of the book is easy to follow, making it suitable for self-guided use or as a complement to therapy. The authors strike a perfect balance between empathy and expertise, ensuring readers feel supported without being overwhelmed.Whether you're a professional working with clients in recovery or someone seeking tools for personal growth, this workbook is a valuable resource. Highly recommended!

Perfect
I bought this for a friend who just started the recovery process. He goes to meetings, therapy and church but he said when he's home, he struggles. So I got him this book. He's had it about 3 weeks now and said it's just what he needed. He said it's a simple, easy workbook but it makes him think. I'm happy to be of help. I'm hoping they have like step 2 book or a more advanced one.
