Great dress for 1815-1820s era!
I’m 160lbs and 5’7” tall. The material reminded me of a linen tablecloth but was very comfortable. I can’t remember what size I ordered but it fit nicely.Nice quality of a dress!

Nice dress
Appears as shown. Of good quality for a costume. Only wish that it had a lining on the skirt. Overall very happy with the purchase. I tried several similar dresses and this is the one I kept.

Perfect!
Love this dress so much that I could not wait to iron it before reviewing it. It fits perfectly, the arm elastic is not too tight and the sleeves have a nice full puff. The bodice is lined and has a pretty gather and trim, and the low back is just lovely and has a nicely gathered fullness in the skirt.Great fabric, not super sheer but I will need an undergown/slip. The gloves that are included are nice as well. I am about 5'7' and no hemming will be needed...just an iron. If you are looking for a white gown stop right here and buy this one. I only wish they had more colors!!

Runs HUGE
I purchased this with intent to alter it for my Halloween costume, and I also, admittedly, had no recourse but to order a medium, since the brand doesn’t seem to carry a small, but still. The increments of difference in size between a small and a medium aren’t typically that extreme. So I can only conclude that the garment just runs large… really large. This hung off of me like it was an XL, not a medium. I expected I’d spend some time tweaking the neckline to better match the original dress I was referencing for my costume, but ended up devoting several hours to taking this way, way in. Otherwise, it’s fine. It’s not amazingly made, the fabric is synthetic, I doubt I’ll ever wear it again after Halloween, but in a way, the fact that this was so ill-fitting right out of the package relieved any of the reticence I might have had for cutting it up and stitching things back together.Anyway. Size down. If you’re worried about the next size or two down being too small, don’t be; there’s elastic.

Doesn’t look right on chest area. Cheap fabric.
Not very well made. Extra fabric around boobs even though the inside fabric fits well. It’s puffy and makes my boobs like saggy because it wasn’t made properly. Cheap fabric for the price.

Fetching addition to a Regency wardrobe
A little fancier than your basic white muslin frock, the dress is a pretty addition to a Regency wardrobe. The description is a bit misleading; the neckline and puffed sleeves do not have drawstrings, but are elasticized, and the embossed fabric is not cotton or cotton-like, though nicer than it might be at this price-point. The dress has a discreet zipper, although it doesn't need one (at least for me), and pulls right over the head. The zipper pull is easily disguised by a purchased small satin bow or rosette. Presentable by itself for a ball or tea, or an excellent first layer for an overdress ensemble.

disappointed.
Don't be fooled by the close up pictures. This is a very lightweight material. You'd definitely need to wear a petticoat under it.

Runs large
Fabric is thin but nice. Gathering on the bodice makes the dress look oddly childlike if you are small busted. Sm/med is actually a medium.
