Old Fashioned Mix - 1pk, 32 Cocktails - Just Add Bourbon

I ordered the Strongwater Old Fashioned mix and received it a couple days ago. Ive tried a couple other Old Fashioned mixes and decided to try this one...glad I did. This is a fantastic mix and makes a great Old Fashioned! Great flavor! Very simple to use...it says to use a 1/4 to 1/2 and ounce to 2 ounces of your favorite bourbon which is about correct...do it to your taste. Ive settled on around shy of 1/2 an ounce. Great price on this also...ive tried Old Fashioned mixes for almost double the price....I think the Strongwater is the best I've had! Definitely will order again!

Strongwater makes the best Old Fashioned mix I've found. It has a really well-balanced flavor with notes of black cherry, orange, vanilla, and possibly a hint of cinnamon. Everything works perfectly with the bourbon without overpowering it, so you still get the flavor of a classic Old Fashioned instead of a thick, overly sweet, or artificial tasting syrupy drink. I use about 1 part Strongwater to 6 parts bourbon, and that ratio makes an excellent Old Fashioned. Just add ice, a cocktail cherry, and an orange peel and you have a great cocktail with almost no effort. I've tried other mixes, but this is easily my favorite and the one I keep buying.

I really enjoy an occasional Old Fashioned, and while they are not difficult to make, sometimes I just don’t want to make the effort. This mix makes it super easy for those times, and it tastes nearly identical to my favorite recipe. Add a couple ounces of your favorite bourbon to a quarter ounce of mix, stir it together with a proper giant ice cube or sphere, maybe add a luxardo cherry if you’re wanting to fancy it up a bit, and drink! They use quality ingredients and have taken the time to get this mix right.

I'm not a expert on drinking an "old fashioned", but it is my choice of drink to make after after a hard day of work! I wanted to make my own syrup, but I do enough during the week, I just want to enjoy a good drink! This syrup makes a fantastic tasteing old fashioned, I highly recommend it. I started with Makers Mark, but I've graduated to Wild Turkey 101. I find it a much better drink with the Wild Turkey 101. I use 1/4 Oz syrup, and 2oz alcohol. I found that a 1/2 Oz of the syrup was too sweet, especially if you add a maraschino cherry and a little syrup. Enjoy, put your feet up and relax, its your time!

Pour the syrup, add bourbon, stir. Ten seconds and it's genuinely good — orange and cherry up front, real bitters underneath, and not too sweet like a lot of mixers. Is it as good as a real cocktail bar? Nope. You lose a little depth. But on a Tuesday night, or when people are over and I don't feel like playing bartender, this is perfect. A fresh orange twist closes most of the gap. Bottle lasts a while too. Would buy again.

It only took me 58 years, but I finally heard of an Old Fashioned drink and decided to give it a try, as I really like bourbon. Over a few weeks I bought several different Old Fashioned mixes from the grocery store, but had to really tweak them to get them to taste good. So I started looking around for a really good mixer. If I want a drink I don't like to have to get out a bunch of different ingredients, I just want to get to it. I've tried about 7 different Old Fashioned mixes and I'd have to honestly say that the Strongwater is my favorite! Expensive in my opinion, but hands down the best one. It's odd to me that this mix is more than twice the price per oz than a good quality bourbon, but I guess that's just how it goes. A $75 1.75lt (59oz) bottle of bourbon (which I think would be considered pricey by most) is approximately $1.27/oz. Strongwater Old Fashioned mix is $2.99/oz. What gives please? And I love the taste of bourbon, but adding 1/4oz of mix to 2oz of bourbon is very strong in my opinion. A half oz to 2oz tastes really good. So IMHO you have to use twice the amount per drink. I like to just put 4oz of bourbon to 1oz of this mix and it's fantastic. I'm not really a fan of the orange peal, but a good cocktail cherry out of the bottom of the glass at the end is great! Price aside it's still the best tasting mixer where you don't have to spend a lot of time to make the drink it or tweak it to get a great flavor. Ok, now I'm really thirsty for one but I'm out of Strongwater. #@$&!

The taste was so good. Bought it for my hubby. It’s become his favorite mix. The mix has the right balance of sweetness and warmth. The concentrate was like a syrup in texture, thick but not too thick. The bottle came well packaged to ensure no damaged or leakage. Would definitely recommend this concentrate and would purchase it again in the future.

This syrup is wonderful in an Old Fashioned! It gives a wonderful spice flavor and scent. We just add an orange slice or bitters and a filthy cherry. We love it!!

If u like old fashions, u will love this. Easy and quick way to have a high end bar quality cocktail

This made a perfect old fashioned. The taste was right on. Add a little smoke to it and it’s better than the restaurants.

Exceptional favour the only thing I go t like is the metal cap reacts with the syrup and leaves a residue

Great product. 1/2 ounce for me was a bit sweet, but cut it back a bit and was more to my taste. Win for me, the bottle will last even longer. Great for camping or other excursions.
