Certikin International Ltd Heissner F550-00 Adjustable Standing Skimmer

Purchased this to replace an exisiting skimmer that had seen better times. Had it some time now and its been nothing but a headache, The variable height good in theory but the only way I could get it to stay together was to glue it. Don't whatever you do leave the filter to long before you clear the basket. Trying to remove the basket is an exercise in itself. Most times I pull the whole thing out of the water. I put a garden wire to the bottom of the basket to assist but this does not work either. The basket is very reluctant to separate from its holder and takes a lot of effort. With my set up lifting the whole unit up trying to separate often creates an air lock which is yet another task that takes a while to clear. Thought for the price it would be a lot better than this but having to cut the column and stuck it together to fit could not really send it back. Disappointing

The first standing skimmer I have bought that actually works! Adjustable for uneven ponds and a much bigger basket than the photo suggests.

Skimmer ist einfach zu installieren und funktioniert sehr gut. Lediglich die Steckverbindung zwischen den Verlängerungsrohren und dem Oberteil ist zu leicht, so dass sich das Oberteil leicht löst, was aber mittels Klebeband einfach und zuverlässig gelöst werden kann. Betreibe diesen Skimmer mit einer normalen Teichpumpe von 2.000 L/Std. Allerdings ist dadurch der Sog auf der Wasseroberfläche nicht ganz so stark, wie bei deutlich stärkeren Pumpen, passt für mich aber gut. Kann dieses gerät nur empfehlen!

Nach dem ich mir ein neues Oberteil bei Heisner besorgt habe, ist die Funktion gegeben. Das mitgelieferte Oberteil ist zu schwer. J.R.

Zusammenbau verständlich für jeden , super Teil , läuft bei mir an einer 7000l/h Pumpe und macht selbst da gute Fänge.
