Suitical Recovery Suit Dog, XX-Large, Pink Camouflage

Just brilliant!! I can't big this item up enough. We bought it for our Golden Retriever, Indy, following his neutering operation. The 'Cone of Shame' (as in shame that vets still think they are a good idea) utterly traumatised him before we even got it on his head :-( and the inflatable neck pad didn't stop him being able to lick himself. We ordered this funky little outfit and after a sleepless night, where we took it in turns to watch the dog while he slept to make sure he didn't get to his operation site, it arrived - and it was BRILLIANT. The dog was comfortable in the soft, stretchy material, it stopped him even trying to lick his wound and we could get some sleep!! It's easy to get on, even for a big dog, and the press studs make it easy to roll up when it was toilet time, there is even a little clip round strip to hold the material in place while the dog does his business. In retrospect, we should have got two, as Indy was less amused by my husband's underpants we put on him when we had to wash the suit. This was a brilliant purchase and worked wonders for our dog.

Our Lab had to have surgery to have her uterus removed and she was doomed to the 'cone of shame' for a while. After a few days I felt it would be nice to let her have the cone off in the day and just have it on for piece of mind at night. I have one of the inflatable ones but didn't trust she wouldn't be able to get to her wound or shaved areas were she had injections/fluids. I decided to look online for something and came across the Suitical recovery suit.I spent quite a bit of time contemplating which size to get - either Medium Plus or Large - and trying to measure her. She is a small, slender Lab at around 26kg, so I decided to go for the Medium Plus.It actually fit her pretty perfectly! The material (mostly cotton with a bit of lycra) - is pretty stretchy. New on, it was very hugging, but not too tight that she would be uncomfortable. The important part was that it was stretched over her everywhere apart from the tummy area where her wound was, which had a little roominess. So that was great as I didn't want it to be tight and rub there. She was a little unsure what she had one her at first but soon go used to it and could tell she was so much more comfortable than being in that big ol' plastic cone! So we kept her in this suit for around 1 week with wearing the cone at night, then another week with no cone at all. It's been absolutely brilliant. Washed it twice and no issues there either. Also over time of her wearing it it's loosened up just a bit for her. After the'd been wearing it for a while or sleeping in it, I did have to just shimmy it up a bit but that's no big deal. The poppers at the back make it really easy to just unpop for when they want to go out for their business. You can kind of roll it up to keep the back bits out the way. I found there is 1 popper underneath and a strap with popper on inside. What I did was tuck the back parts inside then you can pop the strap bit around - although the back flaps could still come out if the shook or ran about enough so not too sure. I looked to see if there were instructions for their recommendation of how to use it but there wasn't any in the packet. Again - no big deal though!I couldn't comment on how long this suit would last with prolonged use, but it's been great for the 2 weeks she's had it on and if she ever needs it again (hopefully not!) then we have it ready to go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another either!

My dog was spayed and being rather large had an absolutely massive e-collar to wear which she totally hated. I bought one of these so she would be able to sleep and also to wear during the day so she didn't keep bashing into things.I am so glad I did!! This was an absolute lifesaver.I ordered a medium for my 30KG German Shepherd x Collie and it was rather snug but despite probably being a size too small it did not rub her anywhere and she was comfortable enough to sleep and play. It was incredibly easy to roll up for when I brought her out into the garden to go to the loo and easy to roll back down while still avoiding my dogs stitches.I ran it through the washing machine and it came out exactly the same, no shrinkage and no shape change and I was able to pop it straight back onto her.The only thing I did notice was that my dogs hair fell out at an absolutely unbelievable rate once she started wearing this though the vet did say it could have been due to the anaesthetic and the stress of the op. However once her stitches were out and she stopped wearing it the hair shedding stopped too. It could have been that I noticed it more since it wasn't able to naturally blow around with the suit on.I absolutely love this product, it was exactly what I needed for my dog and I am so happy to have it. I would 100% recommend it, especially for post spay operations and imagine it would be just as good for any stitches or issues on the dogs body.

not very good if you dont keep an eye on the dog as they can get out of it quite easy, we had three different makes and she managed to get out of all. we also had one for a cat which lasted on the cat just a few minutes. The dog wore it during the day and it stayed on while we were watching, night times she managed to wriggle out of them. suit is made well, lovely and soft material and fairly easy to put on, does protect the wound when its on. price from this company is cheaper than obtaining from vets.

100% perfect for our male labradoodle. Barney was neutered & also had a grass seed removed from his paw at the same time just 2 days ago. As soon as we got home from vets we put on his suit and it's remained on him since. It's comforting for him to wear ,soft and lightweight and so simple to roll up for his toilet breaks. Roll up the top of back towards the tail and you roll the underneath material inwards until you find the black strap with the popper attached and simply attach it to the popper higher up underneath between the front two legs on the outside of the suit. I cannot fault this suit at all and the internal lighter blue material let's you know if the wound has leaked or bled. Everything is healing perfectly and most importantly he hasn't been able to lick his wound. He hasn't even bothered to lick his paw which shows how contented he is wearing his suit. Barney is 1yr old and weighs 21.6kg. We measured from back of his neck where his collar would sit to the beginning of his tail at base of his back approx 61cm a medium plus size. Hope this helps you as we are so glad we bought this suit.

My German Shepherd, 33kg, would not stop nibbling an itchy patch on her side. I bought this ‘anti-nibble outfit’ (as we call it) not really expecting it to last more than 24 hours. Not due to the product, but due to the dog who can disembowel a toy in under half an hour!It went on easily and was a perfect fit. I bought a Large. Plenty of space round the legs so no chafing, a snug fit across the back and a tiny bit baggy underneath. I was pleased with the bagginess as I felt it allowed a little bit of air circulation so she wouldn’t get too hot. You can see from the body language in the photo that she wasn’t impressed but it has now lasted 24 hours in tact! She hasn’t nibbled through it nor ripped it off. I’d go as far as to say she almost likes it as she waited to put it back on after her walk!I hardly ever leave reviews but I felt this product deserved one.EDIT. I have now bought a second one for when the first one is in the wash. I dried it in the tumble dryer (low setting) and it was fine so that’s a bonus!

we weren't really thinking of post-op when we had our 5 year old bearded collie spayed, but after returning home afterward, wearing the cone, she clunked into every step into the house and then every door she went through! 10 days of this was not going to happen, for her sake and ours, so we one-day rushed the pink suit in size large. the cone came off instantly though, and a combination of a cut up t-shirt and a thundershirt had to do on a makeshift basis, and lasted overnight. the suit arrived in under 12 hours, and was simple to put on, and fitted like it had been tailored! she quickly became at ease wearing the suit, which, as designed, prevented her from accessing her wound for a good lick! for toileting it is a breeze just to undo poppers, roll back the suit a little, and re-attach poppers at her back, so there is no trailing on the ground. she's a clever girl, and waits for it to be adjusted when she comes back into the house! the only time it has been removed is for walks, as we figured (correctly, it seems) that she wouldn't attempt to access the wound when walking, and for washing - quick to wash and dry, no shrinkage!innovative piece of design, so well made, already relatives and friends are indicating they will purchase one, for many other reasons than spaying. (or trying to borrow ours!)next door neighbour said that he liked her in pink camouflage. i replied in the positive, but said 'if we ever find ourselves in a pink jungle, we're in bother!'

Excellent product. I needed something to put on my baby after her operation to spay her. When I picked her up she had a cone on her head and the feeling of dread set in pretty fast. There is no way that I could do a week of cone head with her, she is an ultra hyper dog and has enough issues with wearing a collar. So, I looked online and found this post op suit from suitical. The suit arrived this morning and as I took it out of the package, I was pleasantly surprised to find the material was of excellent quality, as was the stitching and pop buttons. The cotton is thin but sturdy so perfect for my girl to wear in the house without feeling too constrained. At the crotch and belly section of the suit is a layer of blue padding which I imagine would be great for any leaky wounds. However, being a fool I did not measure my dog and just expected the small to fit fine. I was wrong by a good 15cm length and diameter. To rectify this the best I could, I have just thrown in a few lines of stitches here and there and it now fits. Sort of.So, for my review I would say that this is a must have item for any fussy doggie. The quality is superb and worth the money 10 times over. However!!! Don't be a fool like me! Measure your dog and make sure you get the correct size. The small is a big fit and I suspect it would be great for a normal sized staffy. Do not expect it to fit a Boston terrier, Yorkshire terrier or Lhasa also ( my three dogs)Measure twice, buy once and avoid putting silly poor quality stitches in a great item for your dog cupboard!!

Cute and great fitDidn’t try to lick incision so was a perfect purchase post surgery for bernadoodle

Compré la M para mi perro mediano de 19kg y le queda bien. Se puede mover sin problema y se siente cómoda la tela.

Our bulldog was spayed so needed something to cover her tummy scar for a few days.My advice would be to measure your pet correctly to achieve a perfect fit.I did find putting the suit on upside down worked for us so the clip to pull the suit up so they can pee pee etc was onher back rather than on her tummy scar. But overall I do recommend as it did the job and washed beautifully
