Are you lazy? Let Raindrip water your plants for you!
I bought this drip system for the veggie garden growing in my front yard. I'm in Texas, so in the summer, I'd normally be out there with the hose three times a day just so my plants wouldn't die. It was tiring and I was getting sick of it. Then I found the Raindrip irrigation system for containers. My husband and I put it together, and guess what? None of my plants have died this summer! For that alone, this is worth the money. Your plants stay healthy, and you don't have to lift a finger. It's amazing. Most of my plants are tomatoes, peppers, herbs, etc. In prior years, they were really small and didn't produce much fruit - because I didn't water enough, most likely. Now, thanks to this system, the plants are taller than I am (probably 9 -10 ft tall in containers!) and have lots of blossoms, ready to produce fruit. Last year, the plants were small, sickly, and didn't give me much. The difference is obvious, and I'm so glad I gave this a chance. If you live in the south, you can never give your veggies enough water in the summer months. This system is easy to set up, but it does have a few problems. You must cut the tubing to your desired length and then attach the watering nozzles (red and black parts) to the tubes. This actually requires a lot of pressure and hand strength. It took my husband and I a whole evening to connect the drippers to the tubing, and we didn't have many - it was just that the tubing didn't fit really snugly with the other parts. Annoying, but when you get it right, it does work fine. I like this product because you can expand it as you like. I just recently ordered more tubing and parts because my garden got bigger over the summer. It was inexpensive and you can buy all you need on Amazon. One thing that worries me - if you change your garden layout, you will need to change your sprinkler layout too - possibly you'll need to cut new tubes, etc. So one year's layout might not work for the next. I can see this getting annoying real quick. Not the product's fault though. But for people like me who want an all-in-one solution for their garden, this works great! Once you have it set up, you're done. I haven't lifted the hose all summer, and to me, that is worth it!

Perfect when traveling
Used this to water my patio plants while out on a 3 week vacation and worked like a charm. We had a heat wave while I was gone and my plants would have died without this. Very happy with this.

Happy Hour.
Overall I am pleased with this product. The timer works great but you need to know that it does not start watering when you set itup. If you set it to water for a given number of min. once every 24hrs. it will start watering 24hrs. from that point. You can use the manual control to water now just have to remember to turn it back off. Not a big deal but it was not communicated very well on the printed instructions. Or maybe its just a guy thing, we never read the instructions do we.The only thing that I am not real happy with is that the drip heads keep popping out of the tubing and flooding my tomatoes. My water pressure does run a little high at times due to living on a poorly run rural water system. I would not recommend this product if you have high water pressures unless you have some way to regulate it. Other than that it works great and has made my life a lot easier, due to my work schedule I cant always be there when they need a drink. Update After a month with this system I changed the dripper heads out and put the ZFE adjustable irrigation sprinklers emitters on. These make a big difference!! They are fully adjustable and do not clog as much and if they do slow down you can just open them up a little to clear them out and turn them back down to your desired setting. This is the head it should have had on it to start with. I did not change my rating due to the timer, It has worked flawlessly so far and is worth the cost of the kit.

Great for potted lemon tree through Texas summer
I bought this for my 2 -year-old potted Meyer Lemon tree because I was going to out of town a few times during this past summer. It was trial and error to figure out how many spouts to attach to the little tubing as I wound it around and around the base of the tree in. Also had to test how frequently and how long to have it water the 16โ pot. Finally settled on 5 minutes every 12 hours (had about 12 watering thingys on the tube). It worked great all summer. Tree is green and healthy with 15 fat lemons still turning from green to yellow. But a couple of weeks ago I noticed it was leaking from the faucet connection. I turned off the water, unscrewed and examined it. Couldnโt see any obvious problem, so cleaned threads on faucet and inside connector with a brush. The little filter-screen washer looked clean, but on a hunch, I removed it and put in a new plain rubber washer, and wrapped nylon plumberโs tape three time around the faucet threads. When it was reconnected, I used channel lock pliers to gently tighten it beyond hand-tightening. When I slowly turned the water back on โnot full force, just enough to see the water bubbling out when I put it on manual. No more leak! Still working great, but Iโll have to remove the system for the winter, drain all the parts and put it away until next spring. The lemon tree comes inside on an enclosed porch where I have to watch the temperature all winter. It does freeze here in Central Texas! One more note: I have learned that the best way to store the lemons until I need one is to leave them on the tree indefinitely.

Works great, but only for a little while.
Worked great for 4 months. Then nozzles started popping off. Then they started getting clogged. Then the pressure regulator stopped working. The timer itself is great and itโs super easy to put together. Itโs just not durable.

Never worry about watering issues again!!
This product really works! I read ALOT of reviews before deciding on this product. I have 9 planter grow boxes and used 19 of the drippers (some containers had 1, 2, or 3 drippers per). Set up took longer than directions said (no big deal), but was sooooo easy! (Tip : definitely leave the tubing out in the sun to soften). Also, it's MUCH easier to assemble with fewer errors if you arrange your containers beforehand. DO NOT start randomly cutting tubing until you know your layout. The timer works great (Another tip : I read it may not hold up well in rainy weather, so I cut a ziploc baggy to fit around it and clipped it shut) and the manual watering and rain delay capabilities are awesome. I don't have any idea if my water source has a high or low psi, so I just proactively purchased the Raindrip psi regulator (all my drippers drip and drip consistently with it attached to the timer) so you may wanna consider that purchase too (it leaks a little, but the package clearly states it may or may not leak LOL) I am by no means an expert, but I read enough sh*t about drip irrigation for containers that I will definitely recommend it and if for some reason it fails, I would have no issues buying again because of good price and ease of install (all you need is scissors!!) P.S. I posted 2 pics of my setup for visuals.

BUYER BEWARE ! Quality of Drippers is POOR.
First, let me say that the concept of this kit is really great. The amount of materials included is adequate for its purpose. The timer, while difficult to understand and lacking greatly in programming flexibility, does an adequate job of controlling the water. But.... The drippers are J, U, N, K. JUNK!!! I set this system up to water a total of six containers, using 2 drippers in each of the 4 larger containers, and 1 each in the smaller containers. The test run with the timer on manual performed as expected, except 1 of the 2 drippers in 2 of the large container didn't operate properly. After 30 minutes of operation, 1 dripper hadn't emitted any water, and the other failed dripper had allowed less than (guessing here) about a CUP of water. The other dripper in each of the 2 failed pairs had emitted a decent amount of water. I am not sure is was the amount promised (should have been around a quart) but it seemed to be working OK. One of the single drippers was OK, (container 6). But the other single one was allowing very little water to pass, (Container 5). Specifications of the installation are: Water pressure at faucet was between 45-50 pounds PSI. Total run of the tubing was about 30-feet. Total number of installed drippers was 10, in groups of 2,2,2,2,1,1. The containers with the double drippers were closest to the timer, and the single drippers at the end of the run. The Initial failed drippers in the twin groups were in containers 2 and 3. and the single container failure was in container 5. Container 6, the farthest from the timer actually was outputting the greatest amount of water. I double checked the 1/4-inch water line to verify there were no kinks, and only 1 very slight leak at dripper #10. (This was the dripper in container 6 that WAS emitting water. ) Becoming frustrated with the significant inconsistencies of the system, I decided to swap out the inoperative drippers with some of the unused ones. After removing each inoperative dripper., (I cut the 1/4-inch tubing very close to each of the drippers, and water flowed from the tube with significant force.) I installed a new dripper in each failed location. (One at a time to test water pressure and dripper flow after each change, and learned that one of the replacement drippers also did not function. ) Fortunately, I was able to find 10 good ones out of the batch of 20 included in the kit, and retested the system. Finally, the system seemed to be operating properly. I set the timer to turn on every 6 hours, and run for 20 minutes. This gave 4 watering cycles a day for a total operating time of 80 minutes. At dripper rating of 1/2 gallon per hour, this should have output a bit more than a gallon a day, per dripper. This would put 2 gallons/day in the large containers and about a gallon/day in the small containers. I was concerned that this may have been over-watering the containers. But each was filled with a mixture of potting soil, compost, and about 25-30% of real garden dirt; and each container had drain holes to prevent flooding. I also felt that knowing the drainage abilities of the soil and the containers, and that July was generally a hot month in Missouri, over-watering was much less of a threat to the plants than under-watering After a 2nd successful test run, and another 24 hours on automatic, I felt confident that it would keep my veggies and flowers in good shape while I was away from home for 8 days. On departure day, I double checked all the drippers with a quick 10-minute manual cycle. All seemed normal. When I returned, the plants in container 1 and 2 (2 drippers each) were dry, and the plants looked a bit dry, too. The plants in container 3 were VERY dry and wilted. I lost 3 of the 4 plants in that container. Container 4 was fine. Plants looked healthy, and the soil was damp. Container 5 was flowers, and they were dry and wilted; but not yet dead. (Heavy watering for a couple days brought most back.) Container 6 was flowers, and they were doing fine. I immediately turned the timer to manual to see what the trouble was, and water flowed all the way through to container 6. But predictably, the plants with poor appearance were getting little or NO water. I hand watered everything that was dry with the garden hose and when the timer was checked the next day, it was operating on the anticipated schedule. The moral of the story is that the quality of the REALLY IMPORTANT part of the kit is unreliable, and not to be trusted. (Hence, the 1-star rating.) If I could return the kit, I'd do so. But the return window had passed. As I am stuck with this system, I will attempt to locate some drippers locally that are made by a different manufacturer and see of I can save the system. I've invested a lot of time and energy to just tear it all out and throw it in the trash.

Acceptable watering debice
It was easy to set up and seems to work well. The timer unit seems solid enough and easy to program. I worry about the plastic hose connectors popping off, but so far okay. It is battery powered so no need to have electrical outlet.

Great Value and Easy to Use Kit. Huge timesaver.
Great kit, easy install and works perfectly. I got it for my plants on our rooftop so I don't have to worry when I am away. Local stores wanted about $100 for a similar setup. NOTE: It does not come with a pressure regulator like in one of the photos but I did not need it. Took about 45 minutes to setup on my rooftop to 9 pots. Larger pots plan for 2-3 heads smaller pots like in my photo are great with one dripper. Did not have any problems inserting the dripper heads but I did leave my hose in the sun to soften up. Make sure you place your pots and run your hose your desired route before cutting. The kit comes with 75' of hose and enough heads for 20 smaller planters. They all flow evenly and put out a good amount of water. I would buy this kit again. Instructions were clear and comes with everything you need. Enjoy!
