What is the size comparison to other boots? I ordered a 9.5 wide which is what I always wear and these were approx. a full size too big…

The stick pretty true to size however I would get inserts (dr. Scholl’s) etc. If you’re going to be wearing them more than eight or nine hours at a time

What is the different between 10 DM and 10 2E?

10D(M) are standard width size. If you have wide feet like me then you would order 10 2EE or as commonly wrote 10 EE. if you don't know your width, then go to a shoe store and get your feet measured. i was walking around wearing the wrong shoe size for years and I went into Red Wing Shoes only to find out I needed a EE.

Are they steel toe boots?

No there a composite toe about the same thing but lighter
