Excellent Customer Service
I bought the 5 gallon sprayer in August '23 for spraying sealer on my new concrete driveway, about 3500 sq ft. The sprayer maintained pressure well, was easy to fill and provided consistent spray. One of the 2 nozzles it came with, the fan-flat nozzle, wasn't spraying the way it was intended so I used the other. I believe the fan-flat would have provided a better distribution of sealer. Sealed my driveway with 2 coats within a couple hours. When cleaning out with soapy water afterward I noticed a couple of the fittings into the tank were leaking air. I put it away and finally contacted PetraTools 8 months later to see if they had replacement parts. Tin was the rep. I spoke with and he was very responsive, very helpful, and sending me a replacement. No hassle, very helpful.

Hose Busted and Clogged Both Times
This review is for both the original and the replacement sprayer- brand new for one job. The job this sprayer was bought/used for was applying solvent based concrete sealer to my pool deck and apron. The sealer is Foundation Armor SX5000. I decided to get a SS sprayer meant for concrete/solvents due to being a solvent based sealer. My goal was to not ruin my normal poly pump sprayers and have one for heavy duty stuff. Note this is a 20 gallon job. The overall sprayer looks to be well made. I had no issues with the pump container, strap, extra gaskets were nice, etc. However, the initial unit clogged after 3 gallons sprayed. This started about 45 minutes to unclog the sprayer with what appears to be either the plastic wand filter or the hose material itself starting to deteriorate. I got it to work, but not very well for another gallon. After filling the last of the 5 gallon sealer, when pumping (all below 20psi per instructions) the hose failed (see photo) spraying sealer everywhere. We then dumped the remaining sealer into paint pan and used an 18” roller to apply the sealer which isn’t easy and we decided to stop after another 5 gallon applied. Regardless of the hose we would’ve resulted in rolling because it was spraying horribly there at the end.I contacted customer service that night and they were great (5 stars for their contribution). They provided replacement unit and a shipping label for the one broken. We decided to wait for the replacement sprayer to apply the last 10 gallons. The replacement sprayer did well again this time for 5 gallons. It then started to clog with white stuff again. I spent 1 hour trying to get rid of either the hose liner or the plastic handle filter deposits. I took the handle apart to get rid of the deposits. At this point, I’m tired and pissed off that I’m fixing a brand new sprayer, again, meant for this type of job. Said forget that and pulled out out my 2 gallon mid-grade poly sprayer (not meant for this type of sealant). To my surprise my old crappy pump sprayer worked wonderfully for the last 5 gallons - better than the new expensive one even when it was working . At the end, the handle of my old sprayer was shot but the hose didn’t clog and I sprayed continuously instead of having to fix something. By the way when I was cleaning the Petra sprayer the hose failed as well (both hoses failed). In summary- Customer Service great, I would not recommend this sprayer for solvent based sealers, I would suggest immediately replacing the hose (I’ve never had a hose fail like this or clogging problems)- such as a EPDM type hose but you’re adding more cost. With a couple material changes this could be a good sprayer, but I am quite disappointed with what I thought would make this job easier, instead it added multiple hours in attempts to get the sprayer to work. In the end returned the sprayer.

Extremely Well Made Sprayer
I’ve used the phrase “they don’t make them like they used to” to describe almost everything manufactured these days. Companies employ designers and engineers that obviously don’t use the equipment they design and engineer. They use cheap, poorly made parts, employ substandard manufacturing processes, and lack quality control. It’s often a letdown when buying a new piece of equipment or tool. This pump sprayer defies all of that!Pulling it out of the box, this sprayer exudes quality at a level I’ve rarely experienced. All the materials are top grade. The build quality is a work of art. They’ve engineered a sprayer that arrived holding a bit of pressure from the factory. They’ve included extra gaskets, multiple brass nozzles, a carry strap with solidly made metal clips, and even an accurate pressure gauge.I believe this thing will easily last my lifetime!

Good sprayer, but nozzle gets clogged easily
This is a good sprayer, and sprays well when the nozzle is not clogged. I sprayed 20 gallons of penetrating driveway sealer with this sprayer right out of the box. The sealer is Prosoco Saltgard which is a high quality sealer in brand new unopened containers. The nozzle got clogged a total of 5 times. This was very annoying. Obviously, the orifice is small. Fortunately, I had an air compressor available, and so I could quickly blow out the nozzle. I don't know where the clogging particles came from. Maybe from the sprayer, and maybe from the sealer containers. I'd be surprised if that many sealer containers had contaminants in them. This sprayer would be near perfect if it had an inline filter, but it doesn't.

Not as Expected
Seems to be constructed well with a lot of thought in what the user needs- Good quality but didn't deliver the fine mist spray [wide wand) I was hoping for in applying sealer. There was mist with a mixture of very heavy spray and it dripped.

High Quality Concrete Sprayer
Recently purchased to apply an oil based solvent to my stamped concrete courtyard. The product is of high quality, excellent stainless steel and has good instructions included. It's easy to operate. After spraying the solvent and then also spraying a water based solvent on my flagstone patio, I developed a very small leak (drip) from the front nozzle. I discovered a cracked gasket. I used the easy online chat to submit a photo and ask for a fix. PetraTools (and Mikki, in particular) were fast and friendly with the necessary replacement part and are sending me a new wand! Very pleased with the service! Also Mikki went ahead and registered my product for extended warranty.
