Gorgeous and practical
I finally treated myself to this beautiful book. I wanted it since I purchased a Pattern from Birgitta. I love the no waste concept, the simplicity, and comfort of the designs. This book is like a class on its own. Once you learn the concept of sewing the style you could design your own. This books has patters, diagrams, color photos to show the dresses, skirts, blouses, jackets, and on and on. I’m eager to begin sewing with this book. This are Japanese style clothing, if you like the loose-comfy concept, I recommend this book.

A wardrobe's with of patterns with zero waste
I love how this book is organized! The first section provides instructions for basic blocks for tops and bottoms, all with generous ease. The second section provides 20 projects -- truly enough for a capsule wardrobe, including a sleeveless top and shorts for hot days and a quilted jacket for cold ones. A good squint at the projects will reveal other variations. For example, I'll probably never make either of the two jumpsuit patterns, but they gave me ideas for dresses. The patterns are mostly paperless -- just a few templates to trace for neck curves and other tricky bits -- which makes it so even an intermediate beginner like me can see where alterations could happen. There are lots of reassuring straight seams for the beginning sewist. As someone who both cares about the environment and lives in a small space, the zero waste aspect is a plus as well. It also makes for easy-to-see pattern layouts, and means there will be little to no fabric scraps to add to my collection.Recommended for any sewist who is nervous about patterns, enjoys unfussy styles, or is into the lagenlook.

Very Easy to Follow for the Advanced Beginner Sewist
I’m really enjoying this book and it’s easy to follow patterns. There are (actual) plus sizes included and everything is easily customizable, which is great.

Simple and inspiring projects
Really lovely patterns for creating completely zero waste garments, the instructions are clear and leave room for putting your own spin on things and creatively using up every inch of the fabric you've chosen. This feels like a book for sewing more summery/warm weather clothing but I really like this style of clothes as they can be layered easily for cooler weather.Beginner friendly and good for learning some basic pattern making, I really like the selection of projects and would recommend it to a fellow sewing friend.
