LeeMen's Legendary Workwear Carpenter Jean

These are now my go to work pants for around the farm or in the workshop.
Flexible. Comfortable. Great pockets. Strong, yet lightweight. I'm done with getting farm store cheapies. They might last one season and you throw them away. I'm also done with spending a fortune on premium brands who want $80 or more for work duds. I'm not working around the farm in a tux, thank you. Lee has been my brand of choice for blue jeans because they fit me just right. I've bought two pairs of these work pants, and I won't buy anything else from now on. They don't have a hammer loop, but I use a belt hanger for that, and the pockets are perfect. Left side phone pocket is an exact fit for my iPhone with case. If I could change one thing, I would beef up the belt loops, add a couple more around back.

Comparable to Carhartt
I've worn Carhartt work pants for years but I recently took a chance on these Lee carpenter jeans, and I'm glad I did. I think these are just as good as Carhartt pants, but they cost about a third less. They are roomy enough without being baggy. The utility pockets are sized right (I like to slip a phone or wallet into these pockets). The fabric seems durable and is mostly cotton with two percent spandex, which should provide a little extra flex while you're working. Best of all (at least for me) is that they are sized right. I ordered my usual size (33 waist/34 inseam) and they fit like they'd been tailored for me (by contrast, I've found that Carhartt pants are not always sized correctly --sometimes your regular size fits, and sometimes it doesn't). Give these a try -- I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Nice, roomy, jeans.
I've been wearing Lee jeans at work, for years. The sizes are correct if not a little roomier now. The only downside I can come up with is the front pockets. They are rather shallow. They seem to have been redesigned, compared to my older pairs. I feel like things will fall out of my pockets more easily.

My favorite jeans still rule
I've been using Lee's carpenter jeans for years. My sense of fashion was permanently influenced by the late 90s/early 2000s, so I've always appreciated the look of loose fitting pants far more than skinny jeans or tight fitting pants- there's something urban about it that I love. I also adore comfortable pants, and loose fitting boot cut is good.Lee's carpenter jeans delivers all of the above, but I think because they're meant to be more utilitarian, they aren't meant to be cartoonishly big like Tripp pants or meant to sag, so they bring a good medium to the mix- not too skinny but not too oversized and baggy. I love the way they look, feel and now that I live with kittens that figured out that they can hook themselves into anything and climb (including the legs of humans), I really appreciate how thick the denim is! I'll probably be the last customer of these pants from this manufacturer, but I'm happy to say that even though they aren't sold at any of the department stores around me, I still can wear them.

It's hard to find pants that fit like they did in the late 60's.
Great pants but the fit was a little loose.

Great pants, side pocket is useless, had to return
I have been wearing these pants for years. I have purchased the Colton color and the khaki color. For some reason, the side pockets of the Colton pants are far too small to fit even a small phone. My phone is not small but it fits in the khaki version.Generally the pants are made very well and hold up just fine. They are the best bang for the buck out there except for this pocket issue. I have had to return to Colton color because the side pocket is useless.

Sturdy and Comfy
These are nearly identical to the fantastic, and sorely missed, Lee Dungarees, which were made of a different cloth and had slightly different pockets. The Dungarees were my favorite pants when they still made them. These Carpenter Jeans take 2nd place to the Amazon Essentials Carpenter Pants.
