Looks good and excellent extraction rate
There were no problems with delivery and the unit arrived within expected dates. I replaced like for like. So the installation was fairly straightforward. The original Airflow 30 lasted for 7 years. I think it would have lasted longer if I had carried out more regular maintenance by carefully cleaning the rotary blades every 3 months or so. The use of baby powder after a shower is the main problem. The fan is more expensive than other fans, but it has neat styling, no back draught when closed, and very good extraction power. On the down side you have to purchase a separate timer unit if you want the fan to continue operating after it is switched off. The timer from my original fan worked without any problems. If you are thinking of replacing an existing 100mm fan, just be aware that the hole diameter in the ceiling will need to be increased, although the fan still connects to a 100mm flexible extraction hose. Lovely and powerful
This fan is quite, quite excellent: When taking a shower, the humidity module (I installed this fan with the humidy-and-timer module, purchased separately but also from Amazon) automatically turns on the fan and by the time I step out of the shower the fan has extracted enough humidity from the bathroom that the mirror isn't even steamed up. This is in a 4m x 4m bathroom. Also, the slowly opening and closing iris mechanism has a delightful look to it. One word of caution: while the fan can be fitted surface-mounted using the "contoured skirt" provided, it looks rather ugly, protruding from the wall by about 9cm or so. To look good, it really needs to be fitted flush to the wall. In my case, that involved removing a chunk of wall around the existing vent hole to provide enough space for the fan's motor housing to be seated inside (15cm across by 8cm deep). Since every local builder I approached had core drills which could only cut a NEW vent hole, rather than widening an existing one, that meant a few hours work myself with cold chisels, brick bolsters, masonry drills and a masonry hammer. Definitely worth doing, however, as the fan now looks good and works extremely well.

Excellent fan, maybe just unlucky that the first one failed.
This is superb. Wanted to replace a noisy 100mm fan during a bathroom refurb. This 120mm unit extracts loads of air, is very quiet, and also looks neat. Has a 2-minute delay, which is good, so doesn't go on every time you make a quick visit. Plus a humidistat, I now have a 2m square wet room without windows, and when when I'm done, I turn off the light, the atmosphere is back to normal within 2-hours, and the room feels dry and airy. Revised my review from 5 to 4 stars, as the fan failed after 18-months of use. Just wouldn't come on, and the room stayed warm and stuffy. Interestingly, the original fan actually got quieter over time, to the point where I sometimes removed the cover plate to check it was still working. It usually was, until it wasn't. Bought a replacement so easy to swap, four screws and 3 push-in wires. Maybe just unlucky with the original and the replacement may last for 20-years?!? Annoying that the replacement (via Electricals247) had all four plastic clips broken on the cover plate. I could use the original cover instead, but a broken product should not have been dispatched. The rattling in the box was a clue!

Hate it
Well I guess it does what it says on the tin... however on the quieter speed (which is why I bought it) the air flow is very poor. I fit the fan with the back-draughts shutter fitted and at 2am I had to get out of bed, torch in hand after turning off electricy, and remove the back-draught fan - every time a gust of wind blew the flaps banged against the fan - not a gentle noise but one that'll keep you awake. Without the back-draught shutter the wind now blows through which might be a problem when it's colder. And finally - the instructions - OMG the writing's so small you need magnifying glass - impossible to follow. And the dip-switches on the fan are so small it took me a while to figure that they even existed. For £90 - to me it feels like a £30 cheap and cheeerful fan. In truth I hate it! And an update. I emailed the company to ask how to change the speed. The instructions are so poor it’s impossible to figure and believe me I tried. Well, 24 hours later no acknowledgement of my email and my guess is I won’t get one. I put a single sheet of toilet paper up against the fan just to see how much suction there is - it barely registered and if I let go of the paper it fell to the floor. The fan is turning and granted it is very quiet - but a quiet fan that doesn’t extract very well and a supplier uninterested in email enquiries. Give this fan a miss. Finally - after 4 weeks and four emails I managed to change the speed of the fan. It's not a switch or anything simple and absolutely nothing in the instructions that arrive explain properly how to do this. It required fine tweezers, dexterity and a hope that you're not breaking anything. My honest opinion - give this fan and this company a miss. Their emails to me to try to explain were as bad as the original instructions. Their instructions could have said (but didn't) "Phil, the pins, or jumpers, that require reconfiguration are buried behind three very tiny and individual black plastic covers. They are hard to see but are located in the top right as per our picture. You'll need a fine pair of tweezers or very small pointed pliers, and gently ease each of the plastic covers off of the hidden pins. Don't worry they feel fragile but they won't break. You then need to replace the plastic covers in the order shown in the included picture. I hope that helps - if not, there's a video here....) - You see... simple communication.
