**Q: are these made in china?**
A: Yes. That's what it says on the box.

**Q: Can these gloves protect against accidental needle poke or cuts from a bladed object?**
A: I doubt it.  You would need a glove with a rated cut level

**Q: Do these gloves offer any heat protection?  Such as when pulling hot pork or brisket?**
A: Not really unless you're real fast. I'm not sure what sizes are being offered, but mine say "L". I tried putting a pair of thin cloth gloves under them, but they really wouldn't fit. Maybe there is a "XL" size that would work better, depending on how big your hands are.

**Q: can you answer your phone with it on?**
A: Should be no problem if you have the right size glove. I have texted with them on but more margin for error and "repeats". My "answer, speaker" buttons are larger than the text keyboard and I do have a larger sized I Phone 8.
